  1. My refine only seems to have one speed all of the sudden...too fast. I have it set on 4in/s but its going so fast that its just ripping the designs off the backing when it tries to make turns. Doesn't seem to matter what speed I put it on its out of control....I'm going to go ahead and assume I have another motherboard gone bad. ???? ???
  2. I would highly recommend NOT buying a MH-721....it is junk....just look though these post under any topic...I have had nothing but troubles with mine since the day it came out of the box. Mainboards smoking a week after I bought it..hours on this forum trying to get it dialed in and it still won't make clean cuts, I waste more vinyl with this cutter than I've ever sold off of it...I'm done with it...my father always told me you get what you pay for and it really rings true with these.
  3. More problems I am using the signblazer software on a mh-721 and it just wont make clean straight cuts...the carriage is on the tracks...the mainboard is brand new....the vinyl is being securely held by the rollers...its just looks like crap the corners are rounded and the straights are jagged....any suggestions?
  4. I understand all of that...and I will be shopping around for a back up cutter, one doesn't anticipate a cutter that is a few weeks old to quit working and smell like its about to catch fire, although If I had done a more indepth research on this forum pre-purchase I probably would have anticipated problems as this doesn't seem like an isolated incident. Regardless the manner in which bad parts must be recieved before good parts are sent out seems fairly standard..however I'm not sure how I can be expected to know what parts I need and you can only leave so many messages and submitted tech support tickets before becoming frustrated at the response time.
  5. Does anyone know how long it usually take kenimes to get in contact with someone...just wanting to give people an idea of long I'm going to be down??
  6. I sent Ken a personal email letting him know what's up...Got to looking and this machine only been in my possession since December 16th so surely they'll do something...still sucks, got orders to fill and now since my cutters down I'll probably get flooded with more and have to turn them down
  7. Do you guys know what the warranties are like on this? I'm only halfway through my first roll of vinyl!!!!!
  8. No...the display doesn't light up anymore...just the red light on the reset button and it flickers sometimes...other than that it doesn't do anything but smell..I've completely unplugged for now..Any suggestions???
  9. I was cutting an image on my MH 721, which is less than a month old ,and it stopped in the middle of the cut and just start moving the blade up and down and then it started smelling...kind of like burnt plastic...I use to work on vacuum cleaners and it smells alot like when we would burn up a PC-Board on a vacuum...anyway when I turn it on now only the red reset light comes on and even it "flickers" like its a struggle PLease help this is a new cutter and I have orders to fill......HELP
  10. I have a mh-721...using signblazer...when I send the picture to the cutter, the cutter moves the vinyl back and forth a couple times and then begins the cut...problem is it always starts 2-3 inches down the roll so I'm left with unneccesary scrap every time I start a new cut. I've tried pausing it and moving the stock back but if move it back too much the cutter rolls it right out the back when it goes through this "back and forth" motion before cutting..........suggestion???
