    Bad blade holder?

I have been all over the forum and don't recall that one, ill do some more searching. One thing i have noticed is that when the image is imported into signcut is that the image will have two distinct colors. One black and the other a lighter black-grey. I don't know what that is. Like i said, I am not that familar with illustrator. is learning life long or can't you teach an old dog new tricks? Oh by way, I installed the driver that was on signcuts website, installed it and activated in system preferences.

    Bad blade holder?

maybe i have a really thick card. reduced the blade depth. looks much better. Got a new problem now. On some files the sign cut software is cutting the image three times? the original looks sweet. The next two screw everything up. Still not very familiar with the sign cut software. It actually looks like its supposed to do it because it doesn't finish the complete first image before it double cuts.
  3. Just got my new Copam 2500 Thursday and surprisingly The set up and software integration went perfectly. I set the blade to half the thickness of a credit card and cut the little test squares to adjust pressure. The test squares looked good so i proceeded to cutting the Copam logo test. Once i started cutting the logo it started pulling up material as it cut. I have readjusted the blade, pressure and offset multiple times trying to figure out what is going on. Also, i have tried cutting multiple files that i know are good. Running out of options, i took the blade holder apart and the blade will turn but not as free as i would expect with a bearing in it. So, does any one have any suggestions? Blade holder? Blade? Material? Dumb A*# operator? Some of the cuts seem so promising i am excited, just need to get over this speed bump. Thanks in advance to everyone.
  4. Thanks Ken. Just got here @ 7:15 central. I actually took off work early just so i could be here to accept. Might be a long night. Glad i saved a sick day

    Some More Airbush Stencils

I like the crows and graveyard graffics. can you post them? also the skulls? Did you use a true paint mask material for those? If so , what are you using? I have 4 bodies to paint, two for customers and two of my own. Hoping i can get my new copam off the ground and running. When and if i do ill shoot you a couple of pics.
  6. Ok. My new Copam 2500 will be here tomarrow and i am excited and just a little scared. I would love things to go great but i am expecting a few little glitches to pop up. I am running a g5 with 10.4.11 and cs2. I ordered sign cut x2 but did not order the keyspan adapter. is that my death blow? I have got a lot of information from this fourm and thats the main reason i bought from us cutters and everyone on this site seems to be so truly helpful.

money, money, money! dude you got skills. OK you paint fingernails. No biggie. I do custom bodies and get between 40 and 60 per job. until i get my plotter there is about 20 hrs into one. cant make no money like that. I love to make sweet bodies but i give them away. This new Copam is going to change everything.

I love your stencils. Thats what i origainaly bought a plotter for. RC for life! You can hold the stencil off the body and get some really cool shadow effects. Would give a different dimension.
