good question. i need some for my Jayco
-
looking for a supplier for 12 x 18 coroplast blanks. Also would need grommets in top 2 corners. Would i have to put those in myself. ? No problem if so.
-
well yep !! my mind just goes to vinyl when i think of USC, i forget they have other stuff. Thanks. I have one in town i pick my stuff up from so that will be awesome.

with a little more spacing like you said- it is still awesome

i was pressing @400 for 200 sec.per directions i printed from somewhere. I read where too much time can cause black to be brown. - seemed backwards to me but it was so. I set my temp to 350 @ 180 sec. and is much better. Now if i could definitely figure out the stupid controls on this press i would be more confident. StickyDesigns, are you setting the idle timer also. I have to play with it so much to get it going that i loose so much time. Also, the instructions state to put mug in then set time That contradicts all i have read other places. I have been placing a blank mug in for it to preheat then take that one out and put one to be sub'd in. I sure with there was a video for this specific press. !!!!

this is so cool. i built me a holder and attached to the end of my table and just pull out my tape and lay over the vinyl. I believe i got the idea from here.

i would go with a USC cutter over another silhouette. More versatility in file types i believe.

and the font name is djque

my question is - Is the boat white ? Can you do without that layer and let the white boat(if it is white) show thru and offset the green and do just 2 colors. ? Any thoughts on that anyone?

what difference would the type of press make in the dye migration? Heating differences?

UPDATE: Epson is replacing the printer. Diagnosis: hardware failure. tickled pink.
-
MAJOR UPDATE: Epson replaced my printer with a refurb. The new (refurb) one has track marks running the whole length of the prints. I am printing on Photo Paper and if you look where the paper comes out, there are pointy sprokets that roll the paper out. Those points leave marks on the printed photos. And you can feel them. I called Epson, who had me run several prints. I tried explaining that it printed fine - although dark- but the issue was the spike marks. I offered to send a pic of a pic but was informed that he takes many calls a day and can resolve WITHOUT a picture being sent. OK. THEREFORE, they are sending me ANOTHER printer. I requested a New one since that is what i bought to begin with. We will see. This makes #3. Makes me wanna get something else. Sorry if this is repeated elsewhere i just need to vent !!!!!!!! madhattergrafix- saw you are using the Epson. My blue was clogged and after fooling with it per online suggestions, now all colors wacko. Nothing printing. Any home remedies for unclogging. Today i just dropped everything and had to walk away. I DEFINITELY have learned to print something about every other day. I thought i had kept up with weekly test prints but obviously not enough.

what program or software do i need to type names for vinyl?
TT57 replied to sid136's topic in General discussion
what cutter. you should have software with it that you can use. You can also use FREE Inkscape. that is a good one. -
dakota- i bought the glass cutting board to sub on - haven't yet cuz of ink prob - but, if you don't mirror, does that mean if someone actually uses it for cutting, they are cutting ON the printed side ?? Seems odd since i am used to doing vinyl on the backs of glass ones and having to mirror.

i need to check my black too. it comes out brownish. Do i need to recheck with every printing - i mean from day to day ?

update: NOTHING printed after trying the head cleaning in various videos including Cobra. I had lost ALL colors. So before calling Epson and crying - i decided to put the original regular inks that came with it into the machine to see if I had actually destroyed the printer or what. Did test print - Nothing, Did head clean then another test- NOTHING, Did another clean, test- some ink Did clean, test - Mostly perfect. Only have a few blue dots missing. BETTER THAN NOTHING. Now i am gonna use that printer for everything till this ink is gone and then go back to sub ink. I know that it needs to have the reg ink flushed somehow ? Maybe print a couple of pages with sub ink just to get it going thru the heads/lines. But, i know that I didn't totally destroy the printer in the first place so i feel better about that. The sub ink carts i took out were 3/4 full except the Black- it was totally empty i suppose from all the cleaning runs. Would black being empty cause the other colors NOT to print correct ? SO gotta order some refills before i go back to it anyway.

sorry Sue, just seeing this. i have not used Hex yet, i have only downloaded it. Glad you got it to work and thanks for the tip KY

Yea, done both of those. Even got an email from Richard @ Cobra.
