You dont want to buy a Graphtec. No seriously you do but you dont want to lol -
Ok so this isnt for me but for the person I sold it to. He hooked the MH 871-MKZ up loaded the drivers and running it on a windows 10 machine. The cutter shows up under USB 001 and shows under other devices as USCutter Series. He is using Signblazer elements and when he sends it to the cutter it does nothing. Now I figure if it shows up it should be ok there is just a driver issue maybe? I told him to maybe try the demo of VinylMaster see if it works then. Also due to the move 2 years ago I cant find the serial cable could that be the issue the usb chip doesn't want to play nice?

I mostly use Conde and Coastal. I have gotten broken ones from each and usually they sent you one or give store credit.

The only bonus with Epson inks and using Epsons printers is they are cheap een if you have to recycle or throw out a clogged epson its only like 200.00 by then you should have made enough to by another one.

Lately I have been having issues with the aluminum water bottles. Blacks are going brown which I figure over heating I know it's. It the ink I have had success with printing other items with the black I have. I'm going 400 degrees 12 min I know it sounds high so what are you using? I'm using an oven.

I used Oracal 651vinyl as stencils, my Badger Hobby Sandblaster and 220 grit aluminum oxide bought from Harbor Freight. The Pint glasses are from the dollar tree, the Wine glasses are from Walmart, The Frame with glass is from the Dollar tree also. The flat glass was etched the same way I used silver rub n buff and the american flag is just standard paper printed on a laser printer in standard mode. I want to apologize for the size of the images. All comments are welcome.

Ok so I want to make sure it's all good and I know it's not the brightest question I have asked but is it ok to zip tie my power cord to the Graphtec stand? I don't mean tight I mean just enough to get it out of the way and not do damage?

"defacing" licensed objects for resale?
MadHatterGraphix replied to OWJones's topic in General discussion
I think it ls sketchy legally I would see if this person could find a lawyer and see if zippo has a standing I mean he isn't making the lighter he is just embellishing it. And what about these other companies that do it it could be a fake letter but someone else that does it also and trying to get rid of competition. -

Servicing printers
MadHatterGraphix replied to Ravenwind / One Off Grafx's topic in General discussion
They are basically Epson printers so epson head cleaner works I have used m isopropylen 90% and it usual works in the head it sounds like a clogged head from sitting. You may have to get a new head, also take the tubes off if you have a CIS set up see if you can suck any ink out of not those are clogged and needs new tubes. -
DTG Printing for shirts and hats
MadHatterGraphix replied to Kcross47601's topic in T-Shirts and/ or Garments
Mad Hatter will not chime in lol. Been busy just getting time to reply I own an older DTG brand and was amazed at the quality it produced. Now my DTG is lower DPI compared to the new Epsons and Anajets so the print is going to be a lot better, however with that being said just like any print media the image is as good as you use so if you have a crappy image it will come out crappy. The other factors in DTG printing is always use cotton, if your using white ink always pretreat garments do a good job this will factor a good print or a bad print on dark colored apparel, and always cure the ink don't over do curing it will ruin the ink. Now if I was looking for a DTG Epson would be my first choice the second would be Anajet and then any other brand. There is maintenance on it like any epson style printer print at least a test pattern ever 4 days or the head will clog if you don't feel safe just doing that tape a piece of paper down to the platen and print a small colorful image. Always keep cleaner and swabs to clean heads fibers do build up from the shirts not as bad as you would think. Also always lint roll the apparel before printing that will cut down on fiber build up. It's a process but well worth it. A quick tip if you do go with DTG if you have many shirts that need pretreating pretreat all the items and then press for the pretreat to dry( your suppose to press them anyway befor you can print on them) it will save you leg work and speed up the process. I believe you asked about time for a white shirt about 2 minutes or about, for dark colors 3-4 min depending on the size of the image. -
Can anyone tell me where I can get a yard of gunmetal grey or a grey that fits that color? I dont need much a customer wants me to cut a decal in that color. I know its the Holiday weekend and most of you are taking it off but some help is needed.
