you will get better results vectorizing images with inkscape.org a FREE program, there are videos, tutorials and other info for vectorizing in the inkscape thread, you cannot cut clipart images UNTIL they are vectorized. You can go on Ebay and other websites and purchase vectored images, You can also go to a search engine and enter Free vector images. I personally use www.dogpile.com as it is a combination of a lot of search engines with more results.
tutorial might help you out

are you deleting the bitmap and then saving the other as an .eps? If the .eps has any of the bitmap still left in it, it will not import into SB.
-
use inkscape.org, Signblazer is not good for vectoring. inkscape is FREE, plenty of videos and tutorials in the inkscape thread

Howard just posted this in another thread:
One thing to keep in mind is the chip in the cutter.
If you can use the FTDI driver from the support website you're good. If you have to use the cutting plotter driver you will not be able to use any 64 bit OS, nor will it work with win 7.
You can replace the I/O board or get a Keyspan USB to serial adapter (from walmart.com unbelievably).

exactly why I shop at Earlmich.com over 4 years, and ALWAYS have my product next day, if orderd by 3PM. And I will stay there. Great service, price, and product. Granted I am only a state away, BUT I can count on them. and that matters to me. and my shipping info is sent same day. I don't let my inventory get that low, but I do know that when I order, the product will be here, So I should be, to bring it in the house.

not with Flexisign 8.1 you have to purchase Flexistarter8.6 with contour cutting.. $129.
-
well, you could ask them if this version has contour cutting.... maybe , maybe not. just a thought, But I do not use newer Pc for my business anyway. I stay with an XP. more stable, and that is what my back up computer is, that I purchased last year. an XP you can purchase them cheap on EBAY. My business computer is totally separate from my personal computer. And it should be separate computers. You don't need a top of the line expensive computer to run a vinyl cutter. my 2c
