Trouble with my us cutter mh 871

I hope not. They signed up 5 years ago.
  2. Illustrator would still need a cutting software. You get cutting software with the vinyl cutter, Choose it for for Windows or a Mac. Most any cutting software imports .ai files. You can download and try the trials of Vinyl Master for Windows or Sure cuts a lot for Windows or a Mac.

Trouble with my us cutter mh 871

Show pictures of the the carriage and blade holder. Are you sure you have the blade holder inside the clamp? Is the carriage head wheels firmly down in the rail? Is the blade holder going up and down? How did you set your blade depth? Is this a new cutter? What do you mean, just leaves the mark? Have you checked that you haven't broken the blade tip off?

Large cuts are out of alignment

Those cutters have known tracking problems, which is why we tell potential buyers to purchase the next cutter up, the SC2. But You can keep trying, it takes patience to dial in settings on a value cutter. Always have enough vinyl slack to do the entire order. Never be pulling from the roll while cutting. Make sure your blade depth is set correctly so that the blade is not pushing the vinyl in a different direction by the blade being too deep. You could experiment with using the pen tool on the back of the vinyl. Make sure the pinch rollers are equal distance from the vinyl edge. Some softwares have step by step cutting or optimize cutting order, where it will for example cut everything in the first 12" then advance and cut the next 12" all the way down the design, to the end, instead of the total back and forth of the cutting from one end to the other. Not sure about VinylMaster having that. This is correct way to set your blade depth. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and in your hand, firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing. You should just barely see and feel your blade tip out of the blade holder.
  10. Great, glad you got it and remember that blade offset on a Graphtec is ZERO. Your cuts look much better after you adjusted the blade depth.

Oracal 631 not sticking please help

Maybe bad vinyl, Could also be that you are cutting too deep, and pushing the vinyl into the backing paper. We don't know what kind of tape that you are using. Oracal has it's own transfer tape for the Oracal 631 vinyl. What did your supplier tell you? https://www.uscutter.com/ORATAPE-HT55-Decorative-Film-Transfer-Tape-for-631-Vinyl This is correct way to set your blade depth. Don't use instructions that have to do with a credit card thickness or post it notes. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and in your hand, firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. Oracal 631 not sticking please help

Just to be sure that you are doing it correctly, you squeegee the transfer tape really good onto the vinyl, then turn the decal transfer tape down and remove the wax paper backing. You should not be lifting the vinyl from the backing, you can lift the wax paper backing right up with the decal, then you will have paper stuck to your decal. It makes a big difference,
  13. Make sure that you set the blade depth correctly. What does your test cuts look like from the TEST on the machine? Show pictures. Surecutsalot 4 has overcut, why wouldn't 5? Check the cutter menu where blade offset is. This is correct way to set your blade depth. Question on copyright infringment

The seller is violating EBay rules and no one has reported them. You are not allowed to sell downloads, only under certain categories. The seller is not doing that. Also other pirated software Flexisign 10. (legal has a USB dongle) The seller is a scammer. Read the negs. Main picture should be what a buyer would receive.
  15. Just looking at the cuts on your vinyl. you have too much blade exposed out of the blade holder. Vinyl should not be lifting while cutting. Fix that first. Using Cutting Master, your Command should be on GP-GL. Make sure it is. Sign vinyl is only 2-3 mil thick. you only cut with the very tip of the blade.

    Question on copyright infringment

I don't know what you bought. It depends on what it is. Places like Vectorstock and a lot of online places sell the right to "use" the design, but you don't own the design. Some are sold personal use, some commercial use. You can go to sites like Brands of the World, which have many, trademarks and logos that you can download, BUT you only have the right to use them if you have permission from the company that they belong to. The owners. Just like on Ebay and a lot of other places which sell dvds with 800,000 logos. You don't have the right to use them without permission from each owner. Best to create your own original designs or buy the use of one from a legal business. People try and make a buck anywhere from people who don't do their homework. Inkscape.org is sold on discs all the time, and it is a FREE download.

    Question on copyright infringment

You also, cannot take pictures of a trademarked item and sell them. A trademark gives its owner the exclusive right to use certain words, slogans, or images in commerce as a signifier of the source of goods. Trademarks are often registered with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, conferring nationwide protection. A trademark owner would not be happy with the idea that an unaffiliated person is selling calendars, T-shirts, or other products with its trademark. In other words, the mere fact that you photograph a trademark does not necessarily give you the right to take that image and reproduce it. This is particularly true if you intend to sell the items onto which you reproduce the image. Using a trademark is asking for legal trouble, particularly if the trademark is owned by a major company that is likely to police and enforce its mark.

    Question on copyright infringment

You have to contact Ford Motor Company, They have addresses and phone numbers. These companies have lawyers that just look for this kind of stuff all the time. Online stores, Fleamarkets, Facebook, Ebay, Gas stations Sports games and the list goes on. People see them and think they can do it. It's not a matter of will I get caught, it is when will I get caught. Stealing and using copyrights/trademarks are such a big business, that Homeland Security is involved, It is considered counterfeiting now. You can be found so easy. Reverse Image search.

    Question on copyright infringment

As soon as a design is created, it is copyrighted. So why wouldn't you ask the owner, if you could use it? Buy it. split some money, so that your legal? By not asking permission you are being shady. You can use designs from the Public Domain, because they are expired copyrights.

    Question on copyright infringment

Anything that is already created is copyrighted. It does not have to be registered. If you see it, and you didn't create it. It is not yours to use without permission from the owner. Yes, it would be copyright infringement. No amount of changing it makes it your design. .

    My cutter is cutting sloppy

With the blade holder no longer going up, that sounds like you fried the z-chip. This is usually caused from not grounding the cutter to the stand, if you have one. The static from the vinyl builds up, and then zaps the z-chip.
