  1. Hard to say, but you can rescale it back in Vinyl Master. My guess different resolutions between the programs.

    Convert SBD files to EPS

I think Dakota meant to write .eps files. They will work in many different softwares.
  3. Yes, the blade depth is the first thing you have to get correct, when you set up a vinyl cutter, it makes a huge difference when too much blade is exposed out of the holder. The combination is less blade , more force. The rest of the settings come after that. Then if you try a thicker or older vinyl, you step the force up a number or 2 not change the blade depth. Even when I go to Avery Chrome from Oracal 651. (it is a polyester vinyl.) I only change the force up. . You should not have to change your blade depth until the blade is totally dull. Just step up the force a little and get more use out of it.
  4. So what changes have you done since yesterday? Show your work since the changes. Also try it on a different condition. You can change any condition to your settings. Have you ever tried it on a Windows computer? Plenty of trial software for that. Just type a bunch of text and repeat it several copies.
  5. Like Wildgoose states. Set the blade like I have posted hundreds of times on here. You should just barely see the blade tip out of the blade holder. Graphtec also told me, back the blade into the blade holder, Push the blade holder down to the cutting strip, turn the blade out just til you see daylight. Get down eye level with it. That is all it takes to cut vinyl. You only cut with the very tip of the blade. I stated in posts above, that it looks like your cutting with the side of the blade. You only cut with the very tip of the blade. 2mm is too much when vinyl is only 2.5 mil. Set your blade depth like this. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing. You should barely see and feel the blade tip out of the blade holder.
  6. I cut large decals, 20-27" w x up to 16 ft Length Cutting about every day. Several orders. I use Seiki blades and I get about 9 months average out of them.
  7. I think you will find that most of old timers, cut slow, and we don't have problems. Speed does nothing but get it done faster. If you read on this forum, we tell people all the time when cutting smaller fonts to cut slow. It doesn't matter which cutter they are using, to cut slow. If it is not cutting good at slower speed, it sure is not going to at a faster speed.
  8. Speed is according to what size of design you are cutting and material. Forget the conditions, The correct condition, is making it cut correctly. You have to make adjustments for that. There are no set in stone settings. My cutter is not set up on any condition. I only use the Graphtec Cutting Controller, for the FC7000, it is on Condition 9, my own settings. And it cuts perfect to my settings. I only need to change the speed once in a while depending on what I cut. Or force if I cut Chrome. Nothing else changes. My main cutting vinyl is 2.5-3 mil vinyl. Pretty much the same as Oracal 631.
  9. I have never ran my cutter ever at Speed 20. EVER. Try slowing the cutter down. Small items you need to. Speed only gets the order done faster, but it does not mean it gets done correctly. I cut around 2-3 Speed and I never have problems. I am in no rush, and my designs are cut correctly. If that is too slow, then bump it up a little. Maybe 4-5 If they are not cutting correctly at Speed 2-3 then you have other problems. Blade depth, etc. At Speed 20 your just wearing your machine out faster, and not getting good cuts.

    MH 721 not cutting correctly

The Refines are not like what was sold years ago, which is why we tell buyers not to get one. They are very limited on memory. Bad tracking, static, and communication problems You should have at least gotten the SC2. For $400-419, you would have gotten a much better machine. My 2c of being on here for years and reading all of the complaints.

    MH 721 not cutting correctly

So what about the pen test? If the test completes, then more than likely it is static, We have also stated many times to put the value cutters on a Tripp-Lite Keyspan adapter. That is the brand name. Those cutters have a cheap Chinese chipset in them. Hello from tx

check your email confirmation. Also Signblazer is Windows only, It has not been updated for many years, but still usable. Many people, like myself, just use an old XP computer. You can pick up cheap. You don't need a fancy computer for a vinyl cutter. XP is still very stable.

@slice&dice, what was the final purchase for your friend? Is the Vevor cranking away, did they buy that last LP 3 ,buy something else, or did they just give up?

Does it do the same thing, if you use the pen tool? If, not then more likely static. .

Titan-2 and Titan-3 SE How to Advance After Plot

Graphtecs only advance about an inch also after the cut.,if that. I use Flexi software. There is no place that shows how much it advances. And you cannot change the amount .

    Graphtec fc8000-100

If you were cutting thru the backing, then the blade was gouging the cutting strip. I only use Flexi software, with my cutter. I don't know anything about Tint software.
  22. MZ SKEETER

    Graphtec fc8000-100

Probably not the machine. If it is still cutting thru, then you have too much blade exposed out of the blade holder. Try a different cutting software and see what happens. Make sure that you haven't put scratches or gouges in your cutting strip.

Flexi Product manager making weird corners

So what do you have the blade offset at? Look at your cutter as well as Flexi.

I wondered that myself. And it is going to get worse.

Flexi Product manager making weird corners

I have never seen cuts like that. But Flexi 8 is not compatible with Windows 10. It is only for XP and older Windows. I still cut on XP computers. Does the Flexi8 have a USB dongle? Like a flash drive that goes into your USB port? I run all of my features, from the Graphtec Cutting Contoller. Force, Speed etc. Download Signblazer and try it. The cutter is listed on it. Or buy some new software. http://www.uscuttersupport.com/downloads/Software/SignBlazer/
