.ai is not a cutting software. Flexi is. If your talking about FlexiPro. Huge difference about $4000, new version. And will do most anything you want.. I use Flexi Starter 8.5 and 8.6 Can purchase on EBAY for around $99. it is not much as far as design software, But you can use www.inkscape.org FREE software for that. But I also have adobe illustrator CS2 that I use sometimes for editing and such. Flexistarter can import alot more file formats than most software also.

well, your problem could also be that Flexi8.1 is not even Vista compatible, So it is not updated software. Was not Vista compatible until version 8.5 You may need to upgrade the Flexi. Or use it on an XP on down windows system. Flexi is up to 8.6 now. You can still pick up good XP computers on EBAY, Last year I purchased a used XP laptop for a backup. It works great.

Why are you measuring the width all the time? maybe explain more. I leave my Flexi 8.6 on 29.6"x 1968" (the highest numbers) all the time. my cutter is 30" Graphtec and also did the same with my 30" Seiki, unless I want to run multiples on something more smaller and narrower.. But even if its a 6" wide piece I put in, and just run a single decal on it. I don't have to change the Flexi vinyl width. and I leave my workspace set at Architecture D all the time.

when you click on SAVE AS in Illustrator it takes you to a different page with options and dropboxes. .eps is one of those options in the drop boxes, and if YOU are using Signblazer, then it needs to be saved in an older version, such as version 8, which is also an option in the drop boxes.

better vector software is www.inkscape.org. FREE software there is a whole thread for inkscape in the forum and several videos, look at the top of the thread for the darker blue lettering.

what version of Flexi are you using? Flexistarter? what? What version of Windows or what are you using?

Have you vectorized the file in Corel Draw? I don't use Corel Draw. But in Corel Draw, can't you SAVE AS an .eps file, the design, to your documents folder? Then import that (.eps) into Flexistarter? I have been using Flexistarters for 4 years and no problems. I also don't set any workspace when I import, It is always on Architecture D and my designs scaled up are larger than 24" x 36" ... I import most all my designs from my documents folder. or from cds. No problems.

in Flexistarter in the FILL/STROKE EDITOR BOX there is a dropdown box,, that should be SOLID FILL, then A BOX will appear. CHECK the box FOR WIREFRAME. That will give you outlines. Your cutter will then cut the outlines that are showing.

Well, you can start learning www.inkscape.org. It is FREE software and you can save it as .eps and will work in Flexistarter. What is DRAW? CorelDraw?

Great, and congrats. It is a total night and day with a Graphtec. You made a great purchase. I have never seen anybody disappointed yet.

What's the update on this Scrapaddict?

I have the 30" FC7000. I run my force at 13 for black and white 14-15 for colors, Speed normally at 5 for most any large graphic. Speed 2-3 for lettering . I'm in no hurry and want it right the first time. I use the Graphtec Cutting Controller on option 9 and adjust everything force/speed from my computer. I just use the Graphtec blades. I am not out of them yet. I have several.

I don't use google. I use www.dogpile.com which is numerous search engines combined, finds a whole lot more. I found several sites with moto-ski logos on it. This was the largest. And there are other moto-ski logos which are different than this.

ok, what do you have the blade offset at? The Graphtec is 0 on blade offset.
