I think Flexistarter is pretty easy and user friendly, This is all I use for cutting, and have for 4 years

does it have contour cut listed under effects at the top of the main screen? and ALSO click FILE> below CUT/PLOT, Contour cut is listed. It should if it contour cuts.

hmmm what's the bump for? they are already running them on windows 7 sucessfully, and drivers are in the support area, just do a search for windows 7

best tip is trying it yourself. Find the easiest way for you. People do it differently. and get the same results.

if you will search the forum there are numereous threads and videos on youtube.com for layering decals.

So what kind of cutting software are you trying to import it into? Also are you importing or opening? Should be importing.

mine wasn't either, it was about people in general, who don't want to take the time to do their homework, and there are numereous ones, and many will join the forum AFTER they make a purchase, because they have NO CLUE of even where to begin. NOT A CLUE of even how a decal is made, They see someone else selling decals and think it is so simple.

So, why can't you import them into your cutting software? They are in .eps format.

most cutting software has a tiling feature to it.

after you have vectorized your image in inkscape, save the image in inkscape as an .eps file, then IMPORT it into Signblazer. If you don't know how to vectorize your image, then watch the Videos at the top of the inkscape thread. Doesn't your Corel have instructions, tutorials? Read on how to export an .eps.

I have the version that says ALL CUTTERS. that is what I have downloaded and OUTLINE works for me,.. Are you clicking SELECT first? then your item,

also go into your Flexistarter and change the Packet size to 1000 KB , just erase what is there and enter 1000, Below that change Quality to Medium, this gives it more memory, by running slow you are running out of memory before the order is done. And cut the size of the order down. Don't run so many copies at one time. To change Packet size , Open up the cut/plot screen, go to PROPERTIES in upper left hand corner, click >screen changes, now click on the tabs at top til you come to the screen that says PACKET SIZE, and Quality. when changed, click APPLY, OK ,, that is what I run on all the time, even with a Graphtec.

also if you have a software that optimizes the cutting order, it works alot better, I just use Flexistarter and tile it from beginning to end, it doesn't make cross cuts on the stripes. It ends up just being 1 long pinstripe. Works great and the vinyl is not moving long distances at one time. Example. cutting a 1/4 x 120" I put it at 7 tiles, so it will cut both sides of the first 17.14" then advance to cut both sides of next 17.14" and all the way to the end. Nice clean straight cut. Of course you still have to have a machine that tracks well, and your vinyl set up in your machine good. But this way, you don't have the vinyl moving from starting point,way to other end of vinyl and back to the starting point again.

Yes Dakota, I have seen this many times on here, people are taking orders from customers and they haven't even mastered how to properly run their vinyl cutter, or haven't learned how to even vector a design. They jump right in without doing any research, or any reading and learning, then get frustrated because they have orders and can't get them done. They want to make money without doing the homework first. Then they are so frustrated, because this isn't right or this isn't doing this, and are blameing everybody but themselves, for not doing their homework first or learning what to purchase, or how to even make a decal. What would they even do without this forum. ;D Sure makes me wonder. And reading the NEWBIE MANUAL should be mandatory. I have mentioned to numerous new people to read the Newbie Manual, and they still ask 20 questions and get frustrated because they can't get an answer on here, when the answer was right in the Newbie Manual from the git go. But they don't want to take the time to do homework. It's like, they think they can just plug the machine in, shove some vinyl in it, and it's supposed to magically create a Masterpiece for them, or their ready to pounce on the the manufacturer.

And Dakota, I know you help out more than me, And that is greatly appreciated also, You have alot of answers, that I don't know anything about, and your area of expertise is wider than mine, as I am only into regular vinyl. But the MAJOR thing that I do know how to do, is use a SEARCH ENGINE to find answers, that goes by the wayside with some people, and it is a very easy task to do. THANKS again, !!!

Flexistarter has autoweld. after opening the CUT/PLOT screen click on the ADVANCED tab at the top of the screen, you should be able to find auto weld.
