Cutting Software Besides Signblazer?
MZ SKEETER replied to iburnclothing's topic in LaserPoint Cutting Plotter Discussion
why are you ranting to a post that is over 2 years old? It doesn't matter whether it is burnt software or not, The software company is no longer in operation, matter of fact you can download the software and drivers right from this forum and use them, They are FREE , Many people on here run on windows 7, , Just do a search for windows 7 on here. By the way.... why isn't the purchaser writing? I hope they have a better attitude. You might want to consider doing more homework before ranting. You will get more help that way. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,21665.0.html http://support.uscutter.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=view&parentcategoryid=5&pcid=0&nav=0 -
General formulations vinyl (shinerite is for thermal printing) The 500 Series is a "New" High Gloss Comp-U-Cut
-
it is saved in a vector format. such as .eps .svg. You need to know what type of format the cutting program can import. It knows it is converted from pixals to outlines, You cannot cut raster image.

MZ SKEETER replied to vinylcreations1's topic in General discussion
ditto on the Graphtec It will pay for it's self in no time. -
So apply them on site, at their convienience... their place. Alot of appliers travel to the job site. That's no big deal. Opening an EBAY store is VERY ez, but working at it and making it sucessful is the harder part. Practically anyone can open a store, But in order to sell and compete, you need items that others don't have, You need unique with great prices, I didn't say cheap either, but reasonable, with great qualilty and service. Your competeing with millions, So your stuff has to stand out. Has to be something that people REALLY want. Keep changing it up until you find your niche'. It won't be overnight... And will tell their friends and keep coming back, I have a lot of repeat buyers, and friends of buyers,

You write them a receipt like you would anyone. If I was coming to your house to purchase say, a vinyl cutter, I sure would want the receipt. Why not write them a receipt? You can write a receipt for anything sold. Your question.....how can I tell a legit business to come to my house? (What does that mean? ) Do you have an Ebay store? My whole business is on Ebay and totally supports me very well... I don't advertise or sell anything local. where customers come to my house. My own personal choice. Everything is shipped. . I live in a very small town. Pop 5000

Graphtec CE-5000-60 on the way, who uses sign balzer? or what do you use?
MZ SKEETER replied to wayne1234's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
of course, Alot of people on here are using Signblazer with their Graphtecs. My model is listed on, it put I don't use it. I had Flexi before. user mr300s , that is what he uses and he has the CE5000-60 model. That Mod TomL said you can use inkscape, So let him explain how. I couldn't do it. Wayne - Your graphtec is going to come with it's own proprietary software made by Graphtec called Cutting Master 2. You can move any work you have done from Inkscape to Cutting Master 2 in order to cut it. This is probably the most direct and easy way to cut from Inkscape. You would have to save your work inside Inkscape as an .eps (Encapsulated Post Script) and then open that file inside Cutting Master 2. I would recommend bypassing SignBlazer and using this method to cut. -

also make sure your cutting strip is securely down all the way across and that the carriage head wheels are firmly in the track -

ok, And If your cutter has two holes for blade holder/pen holder, you do have your blade holder in the back, closet to the cutter, right? I would go back to changing the blade offset to .10mm and start working in .05 increments and do test cuts I don't know what else you can do. Being rounded corners on the test cut is too low on offset, you could submit a support ticket here and see if the techs here can help you out. http://support.uscutter.com/index.php?_m=tickets&_a=submit -

What cutting software are you using?? Try taking the blade in a bit more, actually you can take the blade holder out of the carriage and in your hand, try cutting the vinyl, it should cut the vinyl fine without cutting the backing, if it goes into the backing, make sure there is less blade, get it to that point first. Are you not in the US? -

what supplier on EBAY? Do you just barely have your blade sticking out? 'Cause that is all it needs to be, Just barely be seen. The vinyl is only 2-3 mil, If it is sticking out too far,it will have trouble dragging..and making the cuts
