  2. I originally purchased a 30" Seiki vinyl cutter from the git go, based my business around 30" to smaller, in over 4 years I have never needed anything larger. and I do full size vehicle graphics. When I upgraded in '08 to a Graphtec, I still stayed with the 30" Works for me.

    How to?

you set your size in your cutting software.

    How to?

SolutionThis walk through explains the basics of vectorising in Inkscape. Step 1) Import your image. Click File>Import, find your file and click OK. Step 2) Select the image, go to the top of the screen, click Path>Trace Bitmap. Step 3) The Trace Bitmap menu will then open. Here you can select how you want your image vectorised and adjust the settings. You can also generate a preview. Once you are happy with the preview click OK and close the Trace Bitmap screen. Step 4) Now you will have your new vector image and the old raster (bitmap, jpeg, gif etc) image stacked on top of each other. Seperate the two and delete the raster. Step 5) Play around with your new vector image!

  8. here is a newbie manual to go thru. download on first page http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,17489.0.html if you know that you have every thing else correct, try this. a test for most US cutters. 1 - Turn the cutter off and unplug it from the wall. Remove the carriage cover (three screws) and get yourself a nine volt battery. You want to touch the terminals of the battery to the two solder points above the carriage motor (or to the copper ribbons). Don't worry about doing this wrong, you can't hurt anything. If you're able to get a good connection you will see the carriage arm "jump" and either raise or lower depending on which terminals you're touching. If you aren't sure if you're getting a good connection, try using a couple paperclips; hold them to the terminals on the battery, and touch them to the solder points. If it does jump, then you know the carriage electro-magnet is good. Now, is power getting from the Motherboard to the motor? step 2.
  9. download and read the newbie manual, download on first page http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,17489.0.html

newbie and I really need help with a logo

I don't blame you one bit.. I would also.
  21. sorry, can't help you then. Some special reason you want to use Artcut? I have seen too many complaints on it. You can use Signblazer with a Graphtec. Did you purchase that 54" Graphtec? Just curious.
  22. did you switch the cutter back over to Hp-GL? You have to in order to use another cutting software. other than a Graphtec program.
