Congrats on your purchase. Most are Graphtec users...the stands are included with them.. Personally, I have two cutters /with stands, and would not purchase a cutter without a stand. That was my major reason for the Graphtec, over the Roland and have never regretted it. my2c

You can find USB to serial cables everywhere. A Keyspan adapter is the best. Radio shack, EBAY, UScutter, many many places online. . http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Keyspan-High-Speed-USB-Serial-Adapter-USA-19HS-/120420154018?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c0999baa2 -
I don't have 64 bit, but Flexistarter supports it, I have been using Flexistarter for over 4 years, as my cutting software. Flexistarter 10 runs smoothly on windows 7 system, 64bit or 32bit , than any previous versions of flexistarter software. Inadditional to that, Flexistarter 10 also runs smoothly on Windows Vista (32bit, or 64bit), and Windwos XP system. Flexi10 sets a new industry standard with robust new features geared toward maximizing production, all while striving to create a sustainable future. Flexi excels as a one-stop software solution with a wealth of industry-specific design tools, thousands of drivers to run cutters, printers and hybrids, all wrapped in an intuitive, easy-to-use interface. FlexiStarter 10 has the most powerful import filters, which can open your design files from Adobe CS or Coreldraw software and many other vector based design software.

MH721 problems (go figure huh?..lol)
MZ SKEETER replied to maverick5754's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Support Requests
no, It is cleared, whenever you turn the cutter off and unplug the USB cable, that is all you can do. I always turned my cheaper cutter off after each job. Then back on for the next job. To dump the data. It could still be static in the area. Some people use Static Guard and spray around the area, and a dryer sheet in the vinyl roll, Best to be on serial too. -

Someone else who has replaced one will have to chime in, Have you made sure the blade holder screw is rubbing against the carriage head? Is this a new cutter? -

read below the product? Do you have your cutter grounded? If you don't, you may get the same problem again http://www.uscutter.com/Z-AXIS-CHIP_p_1650.html -
yes, you need the regular vinyl blade CB09UA With the blue top blade holder, I do all of my adjustments from the Graphtec Cutting Controller from my computer, easier. Blade Offset is ZER0 0 on a Graphtec. I run at force 11, Speed 5, and ZERO 0 blade offset, quality 3, on the CB09UA blade, cuts perfect.

You will have to change the com port number in device manager, if it doesn't match one in Signblazer http://support.uscutter.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/30/5/establishing-communication

as you stated it was working at first, So have you checked the reset buttons on the side of the cutter? Did you ground your cutter to the stand? I believe this applies to the MH series cutter also screen is blank/has a line of black boxes across it. Posted by Levi Hartzog on 19 January 2009 03:27 PM Normally on a Creation machine the screen going blank or displaying black boxes means that one of the kill switches is being depressed. The kill switches are located on each inner wall, if either of these are pressed down the machine will cease all activity until the button isn't being pressed anymore. These kill switches are there to protect the motor that moves the carriage. In order to fix the problem turn the machine off, move the carriage off of the kill switch gently, then turn the machine back on. If the screen is still blank then tap each kill switch to see if they are stuck down. If this does not fix your problem you should get a hold of our tech support team.
