    Marks where blade starts

You also never mentioned the cutter speed, run slow until you get this figured out. I never run my cutter fast, as most the time I am cutting and answering questions on here. I mostly cut long graphics, that travel 8-16 ft cutting.

    Marks where blade starts

Raise the force til it does cut good. There are no set in stone settings to set up a vinyl cutter. Even the same models can be different. You add the force until it cuts good, it is all trial and error. Only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in the wax paper backing, using the least amount of blade possible. Most value cutters have between 300-450 force. If the blade is set correctly. you cannot cut thru the wax paper backing anyway. The correct combo is less blade, more force. So that you are only cutting with the blade tip. When you have problems always start with setting a new blade. Just 3-1 oil is fine, sewing machine oil, Just a light oil. Also check your teflon cutting strip for scratches or gouges, They will cause you problems. If there is some, replace the cutting strip. You have never shown what the TEST cut looks like from the TEST feature on the machine. That has to be correct first before cutting any design. It probably has the square and triangle, They have to be perfect cuts. What do they look like? Show some photos, can't help without seeing TEST results. I don't use high quality blades on my cutter. 5 for $24. I don't have problems like that. It starts at getting your TEST cut correct first. Make sure that you always have enough vinyl slack to do the entire order, never be pulling from the vinyl roll while cutting. Check and made sure there are not any cracks in the carriage arm or that the blade holder isn't damaged in some way. Make sure the upper rail where the wheels of the carriage head is clean and that the wheels are down in the track and moving left to right freely. You are welcome.

    Marks where blade starts

Blade depth is the most important thing that you have to get correct first. That looks to be cutting from the side. look at your test cuts from the machine with the TEST feature. Also add a drop of light oil in the blade holder and make sure the blade is spinning freely. No little pieces of vinyl in the blade holder. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing. You should barely see and feel the blade tip out of the blade holder. Regular sign vinyl is only 2-3 mil thick. You only cut with the very tip of the blade. When you think the blade is so far in the blade holder, that you think it would not even cut, that is probably correct.

    Newbie Machine Embroidery questions

Doing a quick Google search, there are embroidery forums out there. I saw several. Majority of people here have vinyl cutters and cut vinyl. There is only a couple handfuls of people who answer questions here, and we all cut vinyl. I didn't look, but maybe youtube videos.?

Did you look by brand? What brand is it?

    import color sample?

I have Vinyl Master demo, but can't you look in the color library, FIND COLOR? Many vinyl color samples from the actual vendors there.

Cutting master 3 software is for a Graphtec vinyl cutter to run on GP-GL language. A Seiki runs on HP-GL language. Find another cutting software. Signblazer is Free. Try running it on a Liyu driver or buy other cutting software.
  8. I don't know why you would think a value cutter would come close to a Graphtec. Night and day cutters. So what is your problems? Besides saying it is junk. No one can help you that way. It takes time and patience to set up a value cutter.
  9. Get your wallet out then and buy a Graphtec or a Roland. Most here use the Graphtecs. Most all value cutters come from China.

DO NOT BUY MH SERIES CUTTER - JUNK!

We have told buyers for years not to buy the MH cutter, and to step up to at least the SC2, It is a known fact that this cutter has problems, Static, tracking, connecting, You should read before you buy. The info has been here for years. Most any value cutter comes from China. Your post is nothing new that most people don't already know. So what is your problem? That cutter and any value cutter will run better on a Tripp-lite Keyspan adapter and a null modem cable. Posted 100's of times on here. Tripp-lite is the brand name. Destroying your material? Either static, or you don't have your blade depth set correctly. Posted here 100's of times. Blade depth has to be set correctly first.
  11. So you were cutting over the groove that is for perf cutting, instead of over the teflon cutting strip?... Well, you never said that. User manuals are a great tool for new cutters. The user manual shows pictures and explains where the blade holder is placed for cutting over the teflon strip or perf cutting.
  12. darcshadow is correct on the blade exposure. It is not possible to cut thru the wax paper backing, if blade depth is set perfect. No matter where it is on the cutting strip.
  13. Fixed how? Incase another person has this problem.
  14. Contact Graphtec tech support. Nothing more to add.
  15. Add just a bit more blade.
  16. Rule out the problem Cutter or software. Trying using another of Graphtecs software, or another trial. Never heard of a Graphtec cutter changing force in the middle of cutting. I own 2 Graphtecs. What type of vinyl are you using? What force are you using? What happens when you raise the force? If the blade is set correctly, it would not be possible to cut thru the wax paper backing.
  17. No mention how you have set your blade depth. Too many incorrect instructions out there, saying to use a credit card or post it notes. That is too much blade Exposed out of the blade holder.. It really matters how much blade is exposed from the blade holder. This works.

    MH Cutter carriage issue

No, you would not replace the mother board. It's only like a $5.00 part. You have to get the number off of it and go to an electronics shop and get it. Or order online. UScutter no longer sells them . Unless you want to spend that kind of money for a motherboard.

    MH Cutter carriage issue

This gets you to the motherboard, https://support.uscutter.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037533472-Replacing-the-MH-MK2-Motherboard The upper right corner is a search bar. Also Google search and youtube videos.

    MH Cutter carriage issue

z chip is on the motherboard. Some places have photos listed on here. There have been several different boards over the years. I don't own a MH, But have read this problem many times on here. You could put z chip in the upper right hand corner search bar, many posts on the subject.

    MH Cutter carriage issue

a fried z chip is usually the main problem with MH cutters, blade not going up and down. We see it all the time on here. They are very prone to static. There is a battery test that you can do with a 9 volt battery.

    MH Cutter carriage issue

why did you think it was the carriage it's self? That sounds more like a fried z chip. Zapped by static. Hopefully you have the cutter grounded to the stand if you have one.

    machine wont cut as desired

" i barely saw the marks in the backing paper" Means nothing, it is about how much blade is exposed out of the blade holder. You can get those same results "i barely saw the marks in the backing paper" with 10 times too much blade exposed out of the blade holder. The blade should be so far in your blade holder, that you would not think it would cut at all, and that would probably be correct. You only cut with the very tip of the blade. You use the force of the machine to cut with. Your UScutter SC is a Liyu cutter. How long is that rectangle? Look at the distance from the vinyl edge to your rectangle. Your photo doesn't look the same distance. It doesn't look like it is tracking straight to meet the lines. You should always have enough vinyl pulled from the roll and slack to do the order. Never be pulling from a roll while cutting. Slow your cutter down,

    machine wont cut as desired

Your cutter is a Liyu brand. That looks like a tracking problem. Also too much blade exposed out of the blade holder could cause the vinyl to shift while cutting. Make sure your blade is set correctly and that your vinyl is feeding straight. No mention which cutting software, add a little over cut in your cutting software. 25. If you didn't connect with a Tripp-lite Keyspan Adapter, and null modem cable, then you didn't upgrade at all on cables. Inexpensive USB to serial cables are pretty much like the cheap chipset that is in the cutter. Tripp-lite is the brand name and mentioned here hundreds of times as the upgrade to serial. Cutter needs to be grounded to stand if you have one. See if it does the same thing when using the pen tool, Static will cause freezing. Also those cutters have limited memory, Too many nodes will cause it to freeze up.
