  1. I know on flexi software you use the FILL option. Not outline. There are old posts on here for that. Here is one. Might be others, It looks like Fill is on higher versions of Vinyl Master.

SummaCut D60 loading 6 inch width vinyl help?

Start with a new blade. Every vinyl cutter blade depth should be set up like this. Blade depth is determined by the material that you are cutting. That must be correct first. Then you adjust the force. To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing. You should barely see and feel the blade tip out of the blade holder. Regular sign vinyl is only 2-3 mil thick. You only cut with the very tip of the blade. When you think the blade is so far in the blade holder, that you think it would not even cut, that is probably correct.
  3. Totally different types of orders. My niche' is large detailed graphics, mostly 20-27" wide x up to 16 ft. L. I don't need volume. I make great money on less orders and work less. Highly detailed large graphics sell at premium prices. Having a large width Graphtec with the tracking, accurate cuts and memory, gives me the upper hand over people trying to compete with value cutters. The only small decals that I make is from left over scraps to use up. I started from the git go on very large detailed graphics for 16 years now. I sell online only. I am pre-paid for my orders and nothing is cut ahead of time. If you really want service info. That is available online. The service manuals for Graphtec cutters, have been up for years. Not user manuals, SERVICE manuals. The https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1977422/Graphtec-Fc8600-60.html?page=1#manual

Help with transferring over to imark plus 1.0

Might be awhile to get an answer on that. There is only a hand full of members here who answer questions, and I don't know of 1 person who uses I-MARK software. We mostly cut vinyl here with our cutters.
  5. Run over night? Never heard of such a thing. Or anyone ever doing it. Personally, I would not run my cutter unattended for that kind of time. Have you seen these cross cutter reset instructions? I know it says to take off the carriage head cover, to reset this, BUT I don't know of anyone except yourself to fix this. It is not going to magically fix it's self. . Or take it to a Graphtec repair shop.
  6. I only use my cross cutter manually after the cutter is turned off. and I don't premeasure the width of my vinyl. I disabled media sensor day 1. Make sure the knob is tight holding the blade. Did you ever take the cover off and watch it?
  7. The cutter head needs to be going all the way over to the left side, so that the post on the frame goes into the cutter head and trips the cross cutter, so that it raises.. It does that, when it measures the width of the vinyl. Take the carriage head cover off and watch it. I bought a Graphtec FC dirt cheap for that problem. They didn't know how to fix it.

    M1 Mac Trouble

The only serial to USB adapter guaranteed to work with a vinyl cutter is a Tripp-lite Keyspan Adapter with a null modem cable. Has been mentioned 100's of times on here. Tripp-lite is the brand name. find the best price. Download the Tripplite driver and install. You plug the USB end to your computer, screw the null modem cable to the Tripplite, then the other end screw into your vinyl cutter. https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-Keyspan-High-Speed-USA-19HS/dp/B0000VYJRY/ref=sr_1_1?crid=3R96FTQ93017J&keywords=tripp+lite+keyspan+high+speed+usb+to+serial+adapter&qid=1659968032&sprefix=tripplite+keyspan+%2Caps%2C584&sr=8-1

    Marks where blade starts

time for a new cutter, as much time as you have spent on that. My opinion, throw a Graphtec on your order and don't look back.

    Marks where blade starts

what numbers did you start with on blade offset? Been awhile... Did you ever calibrate the cutter to the cutting software? Like cut a square 4" x 4" and it is actually 4" x 4"?
  11. My Graphtec cutter is ran by the software program. Flexistarter..Command language HP-GL. I do not make changes on my vinyl cutter it's self. I use Flexi software and Graphtec Cutting controller on Condition 9. It is either ran Condition Priority> Program or Manual, which is cutter.. A dot is actually checked for that. This is actually on the menu in my Graphtec vinyl cutter, as well as on the Graphtec Cutting controller. I went into Resolution in Flexi and changed it to 2540. and got my results. Graphtec FC7000MK2-75 Only resolution on my vinyl cutter menu is Circle Resolution. >Auto or default . My cutter was bought new in 2008, cuts beautiful. Never have had a problem.
  12. I don't use a Prismcut. It would depend on what your user manual says. Your cutter is a rebranded Skycut, maybe find a user manual for that.

Full version Signblazer Download (all cutters)

Pretty hard to find anymore. UScutter doesn't have it, as it is no longer supported, abandonware. only a few select members have it, They may show up later. The software has not been updated for years. Vinyl Master is available for $60 with updates. https://www.vinylmastercut.com/
  14. The Chart is above for blade offset. Make a test cut or a square from your cutter. What does it look like compared to the chart above? add a little overcut in your cutting software. Blade offset you usually start at 0.25mm then adjust + or minus depending on what is needed.
  15. I don't own a Prismcut. But you set the blade depth the correct way on every vinyl cutter. It starts with the correct blade depth, which has been posted here hundreds of times. Do not use a credit card or post it notes. They are incorrect. There are not any set in stone settings for vinyl cutters. You set your blade depth to the vinyl being used to cut. I don't use HTV, but make sure you are cutting on the correct side. Put speed slow, until you learn the machine. No need to cut fast. You just mess up faster. Small text you should cut slow.
  16. I have Flexistarter software. (same cutting as Graphtec Pro Studio.) SAI,, I went into properties and changed the resolution from 1016 steps per inch to 2540 steps per inch. In my layout screen. I entered a Letter text, which was scaled to 3.1 Inch High when it cut at 2540 resolution, the letter cut at just over 7.5 inches high.
  17. Setting your blade correctly is the first thing, Do not use instructions that say use a credit card or post it notes, that is too much blade exposed. I use Seiki blades for my Graphtec, have many, many years. I can get 8-10 months from blades. cutting almost daily. I would not have to change force until maybe 8 months. I cut Oracal 651. Once in a while Avery chrome.

I want to make a few stickers.

If you read the tech data for Oracal 651, it says use thermal printing. Print Compatibility Thermal Transfer (gloss finish only). https://www.orafol.com/products/americas/en/technical-data-sheet/oracal-651-intermediate-cal-id3542-technical-data-sheet-americas-en.pdf Forum members can only give you advice, it's up to you in the end, whether you take that advice or not.
  19. A Tripplite Keyspan Adapter is what you need to connect to your laptop, with a null modem cable. Tripplite is the brand name that works with a vinyl cutter. Find the best price. Download driver, reboot computer. The USB part of cable goes is in your USB port of computer.. Connect the end of Null modem cable to your Keyspan Adapter, then the other end of Null modem cable to your vinyl cutter. , go into device manager, find com port number, I must be between 1-4. The go into your cutting software set up and choose the com port number. They must match. https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-Keyspan-High-Speed-USA-19HS/dp/B0000VYJRY/ref=sr_1_4?crid=L3BIJ9BYB5XP&keywords=keyspan+usb+to+serial+adapter&qid=1657331931&sprefix=keysp%2Caps%2C261&sr=8-4 Sign up and enjoy this forum.
  20. ok ,,glad you got it.
  21. You should be able to export the file as an .eps file. Change the drop box at the bottom of page in signblazer export to Encapsulated Postscript ( .eps). Export it to documents or where ever you save your files. Import into VM.
  22. BINGO!!!! You win. That's the first thing that got my attention, when I looked at that photo. 8 different blacks, there is really like 9 or 10. Out of room on black squares., which is why those parts are missing.
  23. I don't even use a CLEAN CUT blade. I have been using Seiki Blades since 2008, I can get around 9 months use out of them. Both 45 and 60 degree. I cut almost daily. 5 blades for around $25 FREE ship from Nevada. My niche' is large, very detailed designs. 8-16 ft long. We spent A LOT of time with that last guy, who claimed to have been cutting for 19 years, ONLY to find out, he had the blade holder in the wrong hole. This is why we ask a ton of questions. This is why we ask for pictures. People think they know it all. You would be surprised at the people who come here and "CLAIM" "I KNOW I have my blade depth correct", I am not going to change it, I have been cutting like this with my last cutter for years." only to find out they set it the depth of a credit card. Which is about 20 times too much blade exposed.. And what i say to those people. "GOOD LUCK, Contact your tech support. " I don't work for UScutter, I am just a member here, like you are. Nothing more. If I feel like answering a problem, I will, If I don't, I won't. You could also have a slight problem with the blade holder, possibly being off. Spares from Ebay work just fine. Many buy them from there. Never hurts to have a spare. I got my last from UScutters. "other" Ebay store for $10. Because there is so much out there still about using a credit card or post it notes, we stuck the instructions to the forum years back.
