    sublimation metal signs

I buy metal blanks from Johnson Plastics. I have a friend who has a laser and he cuts out the shapes I need. Took a little to figure out how not burn the edges but now that it is dialed in they work great!

    Lexan printing

Thanks for the link. I need to do this in house as the middle man markup will make the bid too high. Thanks, Geo

    Lexan printing

I saw a sample of lexan printed on a standard solvent printer. The problem I have is I cannot find a supplier and the company that did it won't give me any info on it.

    Lexan printing

Hi all, Anyone out there print on thin lexan sheets? Can it be done with a solvent printer? If so how is it done and where do I buy the media. Thanks in advance! George

Yes, it is the same one. Haven't been on the forums for a while. Just wanted to show another option for using printed media! Umm...where did the picture go from my first post?

    Tool Box Wrap

Did this for a guy at my full time job. He restored the car and engine. He took the pictures and then I printed them, laminated and then installed. Used Oracle Rapid Air Digital Media. Man do I love installing with this stuff! Makes it so easy!

Does anyone Know who makes signmax cutters

Buy the Graphtec. You will be happy to have it when you need the contour cut feature. That feature alone paid for mine. Even if you don't have a solvent printer you can still use the feature with your desktop printer. That is how I got started! Geo

    For Sale

Hi All, I am selling my Canon Imageprograff 8000s 42" color printer. Asking $1000.00. Included is the remaining ink and what media I have left for it. It is in working condition but will be needing new print heads. It prints perfectly but it comes up with a hardware error. Everything on this printer runs on a hr meter. After printing for a specific amount of Hrs the printer will go into a fault mode showing print head replacement. I have been using a 3rd party ink that has cut the cost on ink. They have a website with all kinds of tricks to save money while using this printer. Their is a waste ink tank that has to be replaced after a certain amount of time. $90.00 dollars each. The 3rd party ink company shows you how to reuse the tank. I have used this printer for banners, decals and signs. It isn't a solvent printer but it will get you in the game for large format printing. I have made enough money with this printer that I was able to purchase a solvent printer. I am willing to deliver up to 50 miles from Milwaukee Wisconsin area. Shipping is also available. Anyone interested let me know. Thanks, Geo

  13. I have to agree. I just got a solvent printer 1 week ago and yes you can smell a slight odor....but it doesn't run you out of the house. Mine is in the basement in a closed room. I can only smell it as it prints. Then nothing after that. Save your money and don't buy one!

    Need Help

Hi all, I just purchased a solvent printer and will be getting in about 2 weeks. It is a Roland FJ-50 refurbished machine. For all you people with solvent printers I have one question. I currently do all my work in Corel Draw and output to my cutter and Cannon large format printer thru Corel Draw. The people who are rebuilding the machine are supplying a basic roland rip with the machine. I have a small concern about being able to print with the roland and use my graphtec cutter with registration marks using Corel Draw. Will this be possible with out using the rip. I asked the people who are rebuilding the machine and they said they use flexi with all their machine so they don't know if it will work with Corel Draw. Anyone know if this will work? Thanks in advance. George
