If it only does it with letters (fonts) why dont you convert you text to Lines (IE graphic) before you cut?

    Doing first shirt, any advice?

its bad enough wasting material... but when you forget to mirror, cut, week and apply, it is very aggravating... I hate making those types of shirts at 4 in the morning with no sleep... You wake up the next morning and check your shirt and think WTF? its backwards......
  4. My next project is to convert it to an engraver... LOL...

    refine mh721 with winpcsign basic

an men edition will only work with that specific machine. there is a work around tho. find the demo on the net. download it, it should come with all the drivers. find the cfg folder in the demo copy the drivers into you oem version. should show up. the drivers on your cd that you got are only to emulate the usb to a com sort.

I just got a helluva deal!

no gun but i was like a kid in a candy store. i looked up just the press and it goes for around 800. i found the original reciept in the plotter manual (yes, even had the manual), 1200 is what he paid for it.. i really didn't need a plotter or the heat press as i got a 15x15 right now. but i could always use the shirts. the kicker is i just bought a brand new plotter in the any the day before. which i'm trying to get rid of now. lol

    Few Shirts That Came In

    not bad at all!
  13. thats awesome... One of the reasons why im selling this cutter... It was an impulse buy... was going to open a shop like you but then that fell thru, so now im stuck with this and no where to put it....
  14. just a cutter.... LOL Cr630...
  15. Helluva Deal! Im just trying to sell one plotter... LOL
  16. I have also purchased the CR630 with the PCUT style blade and blade holder... The blade IS alot skinnier then the roland type of blade that comes with the plotters purchased from US cutter... So my concern is, is the center of the 2 diffrent style blades the same? If not, then I can see why there are problems completing the cut...
  17. If you have flexi 8 or higher i believe, there is an "overcut" feature... I do not know how i lived with out it... it over cuts the starting point and end point. Its a beautiful thing!
  18. I just got a CR630 today, looked at that and said wow... Plastic! That should last forever...
  19. There are several ways of doing this... In flexi, it has its own registration marks, however, i dont like them... I like a circle inside a box... So what i do is make my own... if its going to be 2 color like in my video, i make 1 box... I color it lets say blue and then make a circle that fits inside that box. i group the square and the box together, then i copy that some image, make it the other color, white... then i align the blue grouped image and the new white one on both centers so they are directly on top of one another, then i put it at the bottom or the top of the graphic in the corner, then i copy it, and put it on the opposite side corner. Now when i cut in flexi, and pause between colors in enabled, (so that i can change vinyl), it will already have the boxes aligned right where i need them. I think i recal in SBE, you could cut 2 colors at the same time, so you could make your boxes green, and cut your first image with greens and whites, then your second image with greens and blues.
  20. Im thinking about making the plunge.... I have been cutting vinyl for years... In the past, I have cut vinyl stickers and decals and sold them at car shows/flea markets/trade centers.... I got a booth in a local trade center years ago, however, It was only open on friday saturday and sunday... I was working full time as well working afternoons, so i couldnt be at the booth all day long... I would go in when they opened around 10 and stayed tille about three when it was time to goto work... I made a decent amount of money... more over, re-invested in the business... Well long story short, the guy that ran the trade center ended up running it into the ground... The business closed after about a year or so... A new trade center opened up later down the road and we got a booth in there also, business was okay, however, it was alot of junk in the place. It was a dark building with only about half the lights working, dirty dilapated looking, however, we were still in business doing signs shirts stickers for car lots, bars, baseball teams ets.... Well, the building ended up being condemed due to leaky roof and no heat in the building... So once again, back home... I ran into other problems and stuff along the way, loosing my job I was at for almost ten years, moving, kids, etc.... I put cutting vinyl on the back burner... I have recently got on my feet again... and the trade center is opening up again (up to code now)... So i was thinking about going back, but i feel the hours they are open, (fri sat and sun) and with me working full time it is really holding me back... So the rent for the booth with electric and all that i need is 330 per month... However, I have found a 1500 sq foot building with garage for $450 per month.... So I am at a dilema on what to do.... The pros to my own building would be open when i want to be open, I can tailor my hours to work around my schedule at work.... I can set up the atmosphere that I want, not dirty looking like the trade center... However, the overhead would be alot more... I was always one of the cheapest in town due to the low overhead, however, the hours were killing me, I was only at my booth about 12-15 hours per week... My current set up right now is 3 cutters, 2 computers, heat press... small inventory of vinyl, some thermoflex, a few shirts, some banner material, coroplast, and about 10 tables.... the location of the building is between 2 major roads, however, not much traffic on the road that I am on.., but it wouldnt be difficult to find with advertisment.... I have a very minimum amount to invest in the business at this time... If i get the building, I will only have a few hundred to invest in materials after i pay rent, deposit, etc.... Should I go for the building, or the trade center.... Any advice, especially from people that already have sign shops (stores) will be appreciated...
