Renegade replied to bayshorecreations's topic in General discussion
You are so not alone. You might not find us posting much, but there are a lot of us designing away and waiting on cutters in the wee hours of the morning. -

Blades for Graphtec Craft Robo Pro
Renegade replied to Inkables's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
Might want to read that question again. Don't think he was asking where he could get Roland blades. He asked if he could use Roland Blades in his Graphtec. -

Those are Roland only blades, but there are Graphtec blades out there as well. -
Blades for Graphtec Craft Robo Pro
Renegade replied to Inkables's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
Pretty sure its a different blade. I have heard of people getting a holder that will hold the Roland blades and work in the Graphtec. I use Clean Cut 60 degree blades in my Graphtec. -
Thats a lot of stitches.

There is already a laser cutter. It cuts all kind of things. They had it at the NBM show in Ft. Worth. They etched wood, cut patches, plastics, and all kind of things.

I would recommend you get a 15x15 or larger. If you can't swing the cost of a brand name new one, then there is nothing wrong with getting a good brand name used one. I recommend Hix, Mighty, Stahls, Hotronix

Business name??? Going from hobby to part time business
Renegade replied to paz21paz's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
I would recommend that you base your name partially on available website addresses. So, maybe you want the word sign in your biz then I'd search for combinations that might be available. Don't know your town, but for me I'd search for things like tulsasign.com, tulsasignmart.com, signmarttulsa.com, etc... -
(CLOSED - bought press) Someone with a cap heat press
Renegade replied to wwpro's topic in T-Shirts and/ or Garments
I've done polos for the $12-$15 range, but that was for over 200 of them. Thanks for the plug Five, but the hat presses are sold. I may list one more if I don't sell my Hotronix, but I have a couple of buyers for it just no one has paid up yet. I'd be willing to do the hats for you, but I bet there is probably someone closer that will help you out. Just need to know the details on what hats you are after to price them up for you. I'd recommend you take a look at Sanmar and see what style you would like. -
What color of tennis ball is best to use? giggle giggle

I mostly use R-Tape Clear Choice AT-60, but I'm normally selling car decals that people like to be able to see through the backing or I would probably use more R-Tape 4075-RLA Conform - High Tack paper tape.

I wish I lived closer to you guys so I could come play. Not too close though, I don't need any more competition.

"Welcome Home" to forum member 'outbreak'

Thanks so much and welcome home! -
I'm jealous as well. I would love to have that kinda space. I keep trying to talk my buddy out of his hanger. I figure its the only way I'll ever have enough room. Do you have a garage door on the back of that place? Thats another one of my requirements when I finally get a good space like that.

They switched product on me too after many email hand offs and I still have no product. I agree free is free, but they aren't going to sell any product if you ask for what you want to sample and they send you something else. There are too many products available that we know are good. The only way I'm going to switch is if I try something better or as good but cheaper from them.

Anyone using any foil on their garments? Found any that you like and what is the process for applying it?
-
I would say regular is around 5.2oz. There are many variances from different manufactures. I also prefer to use the Gildan 2000 or Port Authority pc61 that are preshrunk 100% cotton 6.1oz.

Easy Weed also comes in a metallic silver that has different settings than normal easy weed. Try it at 320 degrees for 15 seconds. -
Auctiva Users: What will you do?
Renegade replied to JoeCamaro's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
and Inkfrog is sweetening their deal too -
Not that its a ton cheaper, but I can point you to a 20" width of reflective heatpress vinyl for about $31 per yard.
-
How about some reflective heat press vinyl?

Anybody knows about Graphtec 1000-60?
Renegade replied to JoeCamaro's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
I know nothing, but the manual has a lot of info and might help you out. http://www.sc-x2.com/files/man/graphtec/CE1060-UM-151.pdf -
Digi-Cut has a little more give to it than most vinyl and is really thin, but I don't think its going to flex enough for most of the ribbed stuff I've seen. If the ribs are very deep I would think you'll have a hard time getting it to adhere without stretching fabric to the point the vinyl will bunch after it cools. Probably need a vinyl made more flexible like Jet Pro Soft Stretch Active.
