Looks decent enough, but because I have plenty of top end computers at my disposal I wonder if I wouldn't be ahead getting a good DVR card and getting a variety of cams that fit my specific needs. I'm thinking like a front door cam with mic, a good led nighttime bullet for the driveway and then a scan, tilt, zoom for all over coverage, but I'm still trying to figure it all out. Right now I'd be happy to decide on a good DVR card and one solid night cam to get started with.

I haven't tried it on anything stretchy yet, but if Eco Film works then Easy Weed will work as well because its the same product with out the marketing.

Do you use any special mask or type of vinyl?

I have a request for some etched Margarita Glasses. I've already suggested the possibility of doing them cheaper with faux vinyl, but looks like they want the real thing. First off can I even etch a Margarita Glass because it looks pretty thin to me. Would you recommend using etching gel or trying to sandblast it? Generally any tips or help would be appreciated.

Just get you a package of silicone parchment paper in the baking supplies.

Besides paper, you can print to some adhesive backed stuff (think its a type of vinyl, but must be for water based ink) and apply it to coroplast and other things. Then you can laminate those with a uv coating for outside use. I did a bunch of signs like this and they turned out great and lasted really well.

I would agree that your best bet might be to contact Oracal at this point.

I use an old bar pool table with a ping pong table top.

I didn't notice that. That is a lot closer, but it might actually still be a out a little too much.

Thanks everyone for the help. So, after I etch these bases, can I use some kind of acrylic paint or something in the etchings to color them and make them stand out better? I wouldn't want to add the coloring if its not dishwasher safe. It looks like these are likely going to be green cactus stem margarita glasses so I'm not sure without some color that the etching will stand out enough.

What kind of cutter are you using?

Depending on how old they are and what condition they are, I'd probably guess they are worth around $150-$200 each. Unless you can get the shirts super cheap for like $1 or less each, I wouldn't mess with them because guessing what your customers will want is a rough game.

They don't have the same warranty when they come from ebay, but I haven't had any problems with support in the past.

The 9" or the 17" are pretty good, but the larger ones are just too heavy to maneuver well.

Yep, not a retail sure for sure. The guys & gals on the phone are great because that is where they operate their business from even if you are local. The inhouse guys are pretty much warehouse guys or the people that cut the vinyl to size and such.

Thanks for this great idea. We should have a thread like this for each holiday. Then each year about a month out we could bump it back into action with updates.
