Get soem good paper tape and save the clear for multi layers. I am going to order some of the 1510 to try for multi layers -

submit a support ticket to Levi - it should not bog down - with that being said a new blade is never a bad place to start. have you inspected the bottom of the blade holder for build up of tiny pieces of vinyl? have you added pressure when cutting the t-shirt vinyl! -
All 5 cutters I have had I only used usb - but there have been others with many issues. I am refurbing a refine and The newer ones are a lot quieter - not graphtec quiet but quieter

also signblazer can be put on all your computers without a problem

Stay with a good vinyl - oracal, FDC, Avery, etc. watch out for cheap vinyl that is like shelf liner. Get a good xacto knife, cutting mat is great to have, and enjoy the cutter
