IS THIS CAUSED FROM A DULL BLADE?
xpaperman replied to The Elvis Legacy's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
and as for degree.... I think the general rule is to use a 45 deg on most normal stuff and the 60 on thicker items. I like to keep things simple at my house and just stock and use 60 for everything. I know some others on this forum do as well! -
Anyone ever cut Laminate on a Titan 2 ?
xpaperman replied to busterbay's topic in TITAN 2 Series Vinyl Cutter Discussions
I just cut some laminated decals from material I got from dakota awhile back. I did notice it to be a bit thicker so I added a little blade. Then, for good measure I upped the pressure a tad and for effect..... I even slowed the speed down a snitch. Now, I don't know if all that was necessary...... but my decals came out Perfect! -
US Cutter shipping changes in the future??
xpaperman replied to fustratedinhawaii's topic in General discussion
But still.... come one..... 60 bucks for a cd? And, you can only ship overnight? That doesn't sound right of fair to me. -

Still loving the Titan 2

signblazer runs the Titan 2! -
Things to keep in mind.... ground the cutter to the stand, blade depth is very important and usually less than you think is needed. Also pressure... important as well. If connecting to USB you might as well save yourself the headache and buy the TrippLite kespan adapter now. The SC is a decent little starter machine as long as your patient at first, learn the blade depth and pressure thing and don't mind a little noise. Good Luck, have fun and there is a bunch of help here when needed!

Thanks for the upgrade info. I am not sure I want to go all the way to x8. Especially after the above review.

I was just on the phone with them the other day trying to find out if I could upgrade from x3 to at least x5 or newer. The support persons accent (foreign) was so bad we were going in circles and I could not get an answer to my simple question. After being put on hold several times and getting no where, after about 15 minutes I finally gave up and just hung up. I later got an email asking about my experience and if my problem had gotten solved..... I explained the situation, and told them my question had not been answered. I have not received a follow up message via phone or email.

Ok, I think I am about to pull the trigger and get the hotronix fusion heat press. This is that last chance anyone will have to talk me out of it. Is there a better alternative? I have been hearing and reading how this is suppose to be one of the best. If thats true..... I gotta have it. Any last minute input?

I saw that at the trade show the other day and passed up that booth..... I didn't want to get into anything new at the moment

SignBlazer to VinylMaster LTR Feature Questions
xpaperman replied to Camel's topic in VinylMaster CUT, LTR, PRO & DSR
append in SB? I don't seem to find that on my SB..... -
Yes, I did get it! Came 2 weeks ago. Already ran a 72 shirt order through it. It was a good design to test the laser with too. Love the machine. The lasers are nice but I think they are a bit overpriced.... just my opinion. Kind of seem like more of a pain to line them up right for just a shirt or two or three tho.

Just got back from a trade show and watched a demo on a system. You design on computer.... send to printer (which actually makes the screen). Put screen in frame and use. When done, screen goes in the trash! Cost per screen/sheet is about 5 bucks. Seems to easy.
-
.... and the cost. I was thinking if the regular cartridges are getting harder to get, switch that printer over to sub and get another printer for office stuff.
-
Swap over to sublimation!!
-
kind of crappy quality picture to get a decent trace of off I would think.
-
Can we use that one? Isn't that the punisher? Thought that might be a copyright "t"issue.
-
That thing is probably HEAVY.... shipping might be high. Whats wrong with the SC?
-
That was my main draw to SCALP was the rhinestone feature. I got the software when it first came out the the feature was practically useless as it did not do a good job. You still had to go in and manually move stuff around. I only made it through the first 2 updates on the software and just gave up using so I don't know if it ever got any better.
