Hmm... maybe I do not have the terminology right. What I want is for a border for the font that cuts. I know how to make a border with the text, but I don't think it cuts that way. Am I making sense yet?

It the little swoosh you see on sports jerseys, etc... It underlines the word.

I am trying to do this now with a word I made, but added a "tail" to... I am not getting the "create outlines" option. Any idea why I cannot select it?

I am making a wall art decal for someone. It is about 20 x 24. I am using 631 vinyl but unsure about the application tape. I just bought some paper tape... do I use this or do I need clear? Can paper tape be applied without wetting it or does it need to be applied clear? Since it's two layers, do I use the paper tape to apply the two layers? Anyone know of any good videos out there with this?

Does anyone know a vendor that sells Oracal 631 by the yard?

Well... since I switched to the laptop, I won't worry about the Vista thing for now. I just need to figure out why my design isn't showing up when I try to send it to the cutter. Hey... at least its a SB issue now, not the cutter, right?

No... matched as in I matched it. I should have said "matches" not "matched." Now... I will have you know that I just put a trial version of SB on my desktop & I am not having that same problem. So maybe part of this is a Vista problem? Could that be? My laptop has Vista but my desktop has XP. The issue on the desktop now is after I design the image in SB, I hit cutter & its a black page. I see the little cutter image with the "vinyl" that usually shows my image... but it blank. How do we get around this issue?

I'm in the same boat over here. I just bought a new serial cable & usb cable... still nothing. It sees it, I made sure everything matches... and nothing. And now I cannot even sell my cutter because I cannot show a potential buyer that it works. This is really dissapointing.

smart question... I guess not since I'm not sure how to change it. Could you tell me how? And whats with the BAUD setting? AND everytime the cutter resets, it hits the kill switch again.

I just bought a serial cable... it's reading now but I get the same issue as the original post. The blade cartridge was hitting the kill switch but isn't anymore... so I'm not sure why it's not cutting. Please help.
