I was not able to find much using search so I want to throw this out there. I am getting setup to print some decals to contour cut, but I am a graphic loser.. I finally figured out how to remove the background from a jpg I want to use, but I can't figure out how to trace it to set an offset for the actual cutter path. When I import it into SBE the graphic is always square, ie it fills the background which doesn't work for what I am thinking. When I have totally created items to contour cut in SBE, I can print with reg marks, then move it to the cutter to cut. I would like to be able to import a jpeg, create an outline, print, then cut. Am I to simple minded?? Do I need to save the image from GIMP with some kind of transparency? Using: SBE GIMP have: Inkscape Illustrator CS Ultimate Paint

The womens group at our church has asked me to make some lettering for a wall but they want me to match a font that came from a cricut machine. O how I hate proprietary equipment. The Cricut seems to use it's own format and although I have the cricut name I cannot find a font similar. Here is the depiction from Cricut. Does anyone know of a similar font? Thanks, Rod

Thanks Duke! I am working to make that happen.... Rod

Any chance you would share your brochure with the rest of us. I found myself unemployed recently and am trying to cultivate some decal work while looking in my regular field. I have never had to go market myself like this before. Thanks, Rod

Whew.... You don't check in for a few days and threads gain a life of their own... I have rtape clear. It doesn't say anything else. I think it is low-tack, but I bought it awhile back. This is something that I had not planned on doing for more than my own enjoyment, but when my employer cut back, ie let me go, I needed to generate a little income. So far this has been limited to friends that have needed decals. I do not feel confident enough with my application skills, and DO NOT want to have to supply more vinyl at my cost. I have not had any problems with other colors and my mix, which I made myself. I need to try something dry with white and see what happens. Thanks for all the responses. Rod

I have this logo, but it is to small to digitize, and before I scanned and enlarged, I wondered if anyone had it in.eps, or something larger to digitize. This is a really old Cessna logo. Thanks, Rod

I'm to uncoordinated on large pieces to not have it stick and bubble.

I have had several jobs recently that I have used Oracal 651 white that I cannot get it to stick when applied wet. I am using the same solution I use, water, dish soap, and rubbing alcohol. Every other color seems to work fine, but white is killing me... Any ideas? thanks, Rod

That was me... Thanks a million! Rod

I tried putting a 3 layer graphic on a stainless coffee mug today, and had nothing but trouble. The graphic has some very thin elements, but I could not get all the bubbles out. I used my normal wet solution, which has worked well before. I got one end set, then squeegee'd out the rest. The vinyl is Oracal 651 Any pointers? Thanks, Rod 1200 Graphics

I have a place locally, www.pchcables.com, that I bought a 15 footer from. He has a website, but if you have to pay shipping it might be cheaper.

Thanks! That looks like the one... Rod

My daughters swim team wants me to do some personalized graphics. They gave me the graphics they have, but no one knows who originally created them. They vectoried fine, but I would like to use the same font for their names. I tried SignBlazers font find with no results. I also clicked through about 150 pages at dafonts.com with nothing close enough. Thanks, Rod

PBear I would appreciate them. I am not in a great hurry, but need to put together a flyer for my daughters swim team. If you want to zip them up and send them directly that would be ok also, cervelorod at gmail dot com Thanks, Rod
