Credit card Acceptor: Square
FrankV702 replied to pitbull1126's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
I got my credit card reader in the mail yesterday and it works pretty good. I layed my phone down flat and swiped it and had no problems with it not reading. I filled out the app with Intuit GoPayments last Thursday still haven't received anything from them. Not even telling me if my app has been approved. Signed up with Square Saturday, had my bank account info verified, got my card reader, and took my first payment with it in 4 days. I'm satisfied so far with it! -
Used PCut, Starting Out Issues
FrankV702 replied to Watson91's topic in Creation PCUT Cutting Plotter Discussion
Where is the carriage? Is it pressing the red kill switches on the ends of the cutter? If so, try moving it by hand to where it's not pressing the kill switch. I had the same problem with the black blocks and thought my Pcut was broken for the longest time because of that! -

So I bit the bullet and went ahead and signed up Saturday night. I got an email saying my card reader shipped today. Maybe I'll have it by this weekend! xpfguy, do you have issues with the card reader Intuit GoPayments offers with this service?? -
Quick pricing question on heat press vinyl
FrankV702 replied to MisterEd65's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
I sell my one color T's for $15. I don't have much expenses though. This is something I do in my off time out of my home office so my only expense is the materials and my time. I would probably expect an actual store to charge more for them as they have a lot more overhead expenses. There's a shop in the local mall here that does the exact same vinyl shirts. They charge $40 a shirt or $60 for two and they stay BUSY! Off topic but, Anyone have any shirt suppliers they use? I pay $5 a shirt now. Is this a competitive price?? -

Yes, concerned about providing my social security number. They say on the page it's only for verification, but they may have in the fine print something where they run your credit. I work for a bank and we sell Merchant Services to our clients. Merchant Services are subject to credit approval. I was also looking up reviews on this particular company and one of the negative reviews was someone saying they run your credit every other month or so. So I just wanted to see if any of you guys ran into this problem? -
Email marketing....
FrankV702 replied to Pappy's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
In my practice, e-mails have been a great way to generate new business out of existing clients. I always make sure to capture an e-mail address from each of my clients. In my opinion, you're creating a useful service by letting your customers know about new products and/or services that may benefit them. They won't buy what they don't know you have. I buy a lot of supplies from another distributor for my sublimation products and each week I get an email with some type of deal. Although most of the time it's stuff I don't need and the email gets deleted, every once in a while it's something that will peak my interest. If they had never sent me that e-mail I would have most likely not even knew they had it. I agree with Pappy, get the email address and keep in touch with your customers. -

Okay, I tried switching the USB ports and cycling the power on my unit and still nothing. Tried swapping out USB cables, still nothing. For some reason now though, when I hit the "cut tile" button, it freezes up Sign Blazer and shuts it down. kenimes, PM sent! Thanks again! -

I'm connected with a USB.. Unfortunately, my computer doesn't have a serial port. Would the USB connection be giving me these problems? I'm using Windows XP home edition. Thanks for the quick response and the welcome! -
Hello everyone! Just thought I'd introduce myself on here. My name is Frank and I'm the owner of a small business Villa Productions (www.vp702.com which is still currently being updated). I purchased a Creation Pcut 630 about 2-3 weeks ago and have spent the last 2 days trying to set it up. I've been browsing thru these forums for the passed couple of days looking for some solutions to a problem I'm having with getting my Pcut to cut vinyl. So far this site has been a HUGE help with explaining a lot of the thousand questions I have! haha, I pretty much bought this for advertising my small business and making car stickers for our local Las Vegas car clubs. Thanks for taking the time to read my posts and I look forward to getting to know everyone here!
