    3" letters not 3"... setting?

The step nsize was off. One contact to US cutter and they straightened me out. The cutter and the software were different. 5 minutes with US Cutter tech and I was going. THANKS US CUTTER! Wags

    3" letters not 3"... setting?

Tried again with pen. PE208 says .729",,, cut at 1.450 (maybe 1.460) so double size. Wags

    3" letters not 3"... setting?

When I click on the PE208 it does say 3" as H and 9" as W. I double checked inches. When I send it to cut and do the preview it is also 3" x 9". It is so simple, I will delete it and start over. I do have a pen... I will try that an see if it comes out right. PE208 is the class designation and number of my dragboat.
  4. So, I am doing basic text. I set letters to 3" and shortened a PE208 to 9" long. Pretty simple... when it cuts the letters are way taller (didn't measure but 6 ish) What happened? Graphtech ce5000. have that set as default cutter. Wags

    Ease of use

Yes... you did... When I get free time... I get back here and try to figure out more. I think my advantage for the SBE is the online tutorial... well organized on Craft Tecs site. I already did a couple images to cut. It seemed easier for me. Thanks a ton to all! Wags Or maybe just understanding some "terms" makes it easier. I will go back to SBE and try to redo the projets I just did.

    Ease of use

US CUTTER ROCKS! So, I called US Cutter and asked why the price difference. He said promo code...etx. I said, well, can I just order through you, now? SSure... He looked up my history... said "you hace a CE5000 under warranty".... ok.... "Well, we are not supporting signblazer........anymore..... you can just have the software". "Here is the activation code, and link to updates". "Set your cutter to XXXX and software to XXXX" AWESOME! "Free software", support, win win. THANKS US CUTTER! Wags

    Ease of use

I have sign blazer... for a casual user... it is not "easy". I downloaded the trail surecutsalot... and in 10 min I had the basic stuff I needed. Signblazer is surely superior.... but like any tool... use it 6 times a year it is more complicated. I have a graphtec ce5000... I may buy sure cuts a lot. I will go back and try signblazer again, as it has been a couple months. Whichever one is faster wins. Last question... on US cutter site the pro is 199. On the us cutter ebay store the sure pro is 99. WTF? Thanks Wags Oh, the ability to put in weeding cuts on SCAL was pretty cool! ,

    Ease of use

Oh, or use it for cutting out stencils of vinyl for painting weapons.... Wags

    Ease of use

So, 99.9% of what I do is simple letter, number, shadows, etc. I don't need, or use the flexibility of corel draw, or high end sign making software. So, what is the gang's opinion on Sure Cuts a Lot Pro for ease of "simple use"? Or stated another way... can a 45 year old guy who cuts d couple dozen times a year fire it up and run? Thanks Wags
  10. That way makes sense also. Thanks for the tip. I will give it a try this evening. Going to make some more to pass out. Wags
  11. Awesome. Thanks for the tip. Wags
  12. I did several of the 4H stickers for the club. To do this I put in "8" copies in the cutter app or whatever. (I drew 1 image on draw) The issue is since I had 2 layers, the cloverleafs weren't spaced the same. I had to do each decal individually. (layer, put it together) Had I cloned 8 images on the main corel draw, then sent it to plotter I asume they would have been spaced the same... however I did them on the draw program. I wish I knew proper terms. I sound like an idiot. Thanks Steve
  13. Ah,that makes sense. Thanks In the video a couple of posts up... I assume the clear tape is just clearr transfer tape? What is the backing is the backing media called? Wags
  14. OK, I am doing it right then. Any idea when, or how I got the cutter to cut through the + signs one time and drop them on the floor? Thanks Wags
  15. I was searching... the registration marks used in corel draw are "printed" not cut.. is that correct? Or to ask another way... if the registration marks were cut, I could cut out the image to registration mark size... then line up 2 sheets same size. Wags
