Printing wall decals verses die cut

Thanks for the responses. So I believe I will just stick with cutting them like Im doing now verses printing them. So this leads me to another question. Is there a more automated way to weed and mask vinyl cut graphics. Right now we are doing everything by hand and its taking considerable time. We manually be hand weed every decal then manually apply the application tape. We have a APPRoller however we still have to manually squeegee each one. This is taking considerable time. I really need to find a way to better automate and speed up this process. After some quick research I saw this on YouTube http://www.weedersheeter.com/pricing/index.htm/ Does anyone have any experience with it or could provide options for me?

Printing wall decals verses die cut

I have an Graphtec plotter and we currently die cut decals and sell on mostly Amazon. A few weeks ago we received a call from Amazon vendor central and they are starting to sell our products directly. We have finalized our vendor account and received our first PO from them. It was a very small PO for only about 26 items however we are hopeful to start receiving much larger volume orders from them. The process of using the plotter to make our decals has been working for us. However as you know it takes considerable time to die cut, then weed, then mask every single decal. With the anticipation of larger volume orders from Amazon and the possibility to taking our business to the next level I wanted to explore the option of printing our designs onto a clear vinyl that you see with many other items such as the ones you buy in big box stores such as Walmart and Target. Unfortunately Im not sure where to begin. Could you point me in the right direction regarding the equipment I would need, supplies, etc? Thank you!

    Signboard for outdoor "tenant" signs

Thanks for the reply. I have never made anything like these before, Ive only done the lettering on them. Are they difficult and time consuming to make? Are there instructions anywhere on how to make them? Is there anyone you know of on here that makes and sells them? I just need them blank as I can do the lettering.
  8. I have a customer who wants me to replace the name plates on the outdoor sign. Where can I get these? The ones I need are about 37" wide by 6 1/2 tall. They are about 1/4" thick.
  9. Thank you all so VERY much!! I just used the weld option in Corel and this is so dang simple. I will for sure keep the weld option selected in CM2 as well in case I forget to do it in Corel. Wish I would have known about this months ago. I could have saved countless hours editing designs. Guess its my own fault since I never asked before now :-)
  10. WOW!!! I just found the "Auto-weld" option in Cutting Master and IT WORKS!!! I can't believe I didnt know about this before! THANK YOU!! You just saved me HOURS of editing!!! :-)
  11. I use Cutting Master 2 plug in for Corel to cut with. I have a GraphTec CE5000-60 cutter.
  12. Hello I do alot of wall graphics and often use script fonts. The issue is that with script fonts there is an interection/overlap where the letters meet. I have had to manually go in and convert the text to curves and breaking apart the curve and removing ever place where the letters overlap. However this is VERY time consuming especially on larger designs. I figure there has to be a easier way to do this. Can anyone please let me how to do this?? Ive attached a sample design that Im working on that I have not yet removed the intersecting letters. Here is screenshot of what Im talking about. For some reason I could not attach the cdr file.

    Camo Vinyl

I have a hp photo smart 7510 and a dell1320 c printer. What Im looking for is some vinyl that I can print on printer. What type of vinyl do I need and will these type of printers work?
  14. Thanks for the reply. I had already ordered the 23 5/8 by 35 3/8 mat and it should be here today. Can I order another one and "butt" the 2 together to form a single larger mat? Will it cause issues with the crease/joint line if I use 2 of them together to make one larger one? I dont want to chance messing up applying app tape because of a joint between the 2 mats.
  15. Hello I needed to upgrade my workspace area for applying application tape to my graphics and such. I built a small "desk" and topped it with a sheet of 3/4 MDF. However I dont think the MDF will work perfectly as I seem to get some dust from it and dont want this transferring to my graphics. What do you recommend? I saw a few people use clear acrylic as the surface? is this best? I looked online and see there are many different types of clear acrylic out there. What type, thickness, etc should I look for? Anyone know of a preferred supplier to get it from in Jacksonville, FL area? Thanks!
