I've had SB for 7 years now and I'm ready to pitch it! I'm sick of the prehistoric everything and the count down to 300+. Time for something new! I'm in the market for a new plotter and software. How do I go about converting all my old sb files to the new software? Is there one software better than another that will recognize SBD files? As for the new software, I want the most modern vectorizing technology out there. Is there one that will easily vector .eps docs? Please advise... Thanks for your help. You guys have been here for me since I was a rookie. I appreciate it. Katie

Yep, exporting it as an .eps worked. Again, I'll have to do this to each file individually? No easy way around it, huh? Another question- I don't have another sign software to test it, but when I open the file into my new software, will it be editable? For example, can I change the font?

It isn't allowing me to do so. I save as and rename the file as .eps and it won't accept it at all.

Also, this may be a dumb question, but I don't have to do that one file at a time...right? #killmenow

Thanks Dakota. Do you have a recommendation for a new 24" cutter or software? I want something better at vectoring than sb.

Has anyone tried to make their own version of a table top pre-masker? I want to have my husband build me one instead of paying $200 some bucks for one (I'm cheap, i know) but I'm not sure how to make it fully secure to the worktable. Have you tried it? Do you own one? If not, how do you transfer? (Currently, I use my plotter stand- it has a bar across the middle of it- and put my transfer tape on there. Then I transfer onto a glass coffee table because it's the right height. I don't however, want to bend over much longer. I'm due with my second baby anyday and my back is killing me...I'd rather have a premasker installed onto a real height work table.)

Hey everyone, I need your help again. I need to buy new blades for my cutter. The ones that came with my Creation P Cut were cemented carbide blades with an offset value of .25mm. They are Zuanshi brand. I don't care about brand, etc. Just looking for some new ones that will work with this cutter. Please advise! Thanks!

I have SB, currently running in trial mode because of issues going on with the company... I'm buying a new computer, and I want a new Sign Program as well. What other softwares work with this machine and are they pretty user friendly like SB? My budget is preferrably under $50...? Likely? Thanks, Katie

Do you guys know what my problem would be if say for instance, I'm cutting a simple border (this is when I notice it occuring most). A lot of the times, the blade does not match up with its startin position, but is slightly off. Hm..does that make sense? If it's cutting a circle, the blade will go all the way around just fine, but when it arrives back at the starting point to close the circle or square, often times it is not closed or is even off. I hope that made some sort of sense. I'd appreciate the input! Thanks everyone.
