    Celtic font in 2 color

I bought it at http://www.clanbadge.com/knots.htm. There are several different styles (e.g. 3D, outline, filled, etc). I bought the whole package a few years ago and use it for various projects, mostly in Corel. Very easy to use for print applications.

    Celtic font in 2 color

I purchaed these Celtic fonts (see sample attached .sbd). Hope you can view these without the font?? I'm also attaching a .jpg of the same. Can anyone make a suggestion how I can cut these in two different colors? Like I said it is a font and I used: 910 then = = then - - then o1p to get the block you see. I put a detached sample of 2 of the characters beside the block so you could see an individual font. Thanks, Regis Sample-celtic.SBD Sample-celtic.SBD

I did this in SBE (for board purposes) but, I'm a Corel person and will try to convert to curve then break(?). I want to make each "path" a different color vinyl. In this case, it would 2 paths and I want to make it look like the 2 colors are weaved. Thanks

    Changing vinyl size (?)

I see where you can change the vinyl size in the Cutter window. Is there any reason to actually change it when you put smaller peices in the machine? Or, is it just something to help you ensure your image will fit? Thanks, Regis

Is there a list of borders in SB?

Lot of symbols & elements in the Library but, no borders. I'm in SB Elements so that may be difference. Just found that if you right click on screen AFTER selecting Border tool there are nice selections. Regis

  8. BannerJohn, I agree ALL 6 + points. I want to vote for YOU. I would absolutly vote for anyone at any level and any party (or none) running on that platform!!! Regis
  9. QUOTE Bob: "The blame does not rest with politicians. The blame rests with 1) the lobbyists who represent the rich and powerful and 2) those among us who form large groups of voters to fight against drilling off California because it will ruin the scenery and the Alaska wild life preserves because it will hurt the animals. These two groups combined have the financial clout to buy what they want done and strike fear into the elected officials who want to stay in office." As I said, politicians. These people buy or scare politicians who grow in power (and WEALTH). Those crying for "change" better vote OUT every incumbent elected official. That would cure a LOT of problems in 2 or 3 election cycles (...including oil).
  10. QUOTE: "Millions of acres in this country lie fallow...unfarmed,because govbernment subsidies paid to farmers NOT to plant certain types of crops in order to keep prices up" .....GREAT point! ......Government, "get out of the way of business" Regis
  11. Good discussion. I sure agree with most of the points. QUOTE: "Capitalism is a wonderful thing, but without some control and enforcement it could very well lead to it's own demise." Only problem is that capitalism has been and is being strangled by government. We should have long ago begun more drilling, more refineries, and more incentives for alternate (non food competing) fuels. Government control has interfered. Politicians love these kinds of problems that keep growing THEIR power over the needs of people. If the politicians just monitored to protect inocent from any safety or cleanliness they would serve people rather than trying to control/strangle business and grow their power. my 2c Regis

    Current reasons for actvation problems

I actually bought mine on Wed (June25th) after discussion with pre-sales. We discussed which cutter S/W as I am going to do all my work in Corel. SB is what the pre-sales guy would get in my situation and that's what I bought. He did say it was up to me though. Maybe this was big supprise to him also..... I "hope" it arrives with software that will WORK! Regis
  13. I'm having inconsistant results bringing images from Corel 12 to SB. I can create something in Corel and bring into SB just fine. I have got a couple picture graphics into SB but, not so I could cut them. I'm attaching a .cdr and the .cmx I'm working. The .cdr was originally a jpg color photo of elephant that I cut out the background, then converted to BW, bitmap, & find edge. Saved as both .cmx & .cdr (zipped & attached). I can not seem to bring this into into SB. I tried some other techniques (?) and got a broken outline to into SB but, I suspect it would not cut with all the broken lines. My PCUT is due in about 5 days and I'm trying to get ready . Thanks, Regis eleph-2-cx.zip eleph-2-cx.zip

    Hello

Hello all. Been reading a lot of very helpfull information here on this forum. I'm trying to decide on a vinyl cutter and software to buy. I'm very versed in Corel(12) so that will be my main design/layout software. I will primarily be cutting masks to airbrush the leatherwork that I do. Could branch out into some form of signage. I'm thankful for monitored forums like this with friendly people and professional input. Thanks to all contributors and hope I can att help in the future. Regis

    Hello

All, Thank you all for the welcome. My PCUT is on its way here now. nonabelle, My grandaughter graduated from U of Memphis this year. Next trip up to Memphis I drop by (if you have a shop). Regis
  16. Just purchased PCUT w/SignBlazer & stand (via ebay). Would you tell me how long the serial cable is that comes with the unit? I need to plan my room layout and arrange workstation, desk, PCUT, and cabling. I did read the dimensions are 40(w) X 20(d) X 48(h). Is that the footprint of the stand or the PCUT? Thanks, Regis
  17. I see many posts here about a machine called "Refine" but do not see it listed for sale. I see Laser Point, Creation Pcut, and MH series. Is Refine the MH series or a machine that is no longer offered? Also, I saw a precision comaprison here between Roland, Refine, and Cretex(sp). Does the PCut have the same small detailed precision as the Refine? That was impressive comparison and exactly the kind of small vinyl cuts that I need to be able to make, consistantly. Thanks, Regis

    Flexi Starter & Corel

How is Flexi Starter as a cutting s/w? I do all design in Corel 12. Does it import clean and easy to position on vinyl? Are controls & documentation clear (for this old beginner)? Thanks, Regis
  19. I read where PCUT has "continuous rollers" in order to cut narrow vinyl....as small as 2 1/2". If that is the case, they would 'always' be going over the cut area. I also read where someone added rollers and don't understand that (because of the "continuous roller" in the description). Would someone please clear this up for me? Thanks, Regis

Machine names ??? & PCUT detail

Joe, That's exactly what I need to be able to do. I need to find out if the PCUT is that good or do I need to order the Refine. From what I've read the Pcut is quieter and I use it in our house. Thanks you for the example. Regis
