    Copam 2500

Got it working sweet as peach pie so far now - set control panel comm port at 9600 on computer itself, set the comm baud in Flexi prog mgr at 9600 and let the cutter stay at 9600 - then rebooted. After that, tried a job of text. 3 lines, each line a different semi-wild font, nothing larger than 1.5" high ... absolutely no problems cutting, think all is a-ok now Still, after seeing the copam 2500, kinda wished I'd waiting for that baby - it looks sweet

    Copam 2500

Got to admit though, the copam 2500 with the auto origin and the photo eye sure is nice feature. The rear feed media rollers being mounted way low is kinda cool too, less chance of the cutter feeding faster than the rollers can roll the vinyl out & having your roll of vinyl go hurling onto the floor and unrolling all over the place. LOL

    Copam 2500

If I could try the serial or parallel port method I would but my system only has usb ports. I'll give the unplug and re-plug a try in just a minute ... in middle of a cut job now where on the second set and it's "stopped"

    Copam 2500

Billy - then please help me on the comm port issue, if you can. I set the cutter at 4800, set the prod mgr setup for the cutter at 4800, loaded the pnc1000 driver it said - so it will cut, until I got to do a second project. I cut the first thing (hit send) then when its done cutting I hit done. I go to the next cut project, hit send and it tells me cannot open port or write port error. The copam with auto origin and eye is alot closer to the Graphtec model we have at work (my 9-5 sign shop job), figured it would also be updated as far as how it interacts with Flexi as well (improved driver/comm port reliability) So, what am I doing wrong that makes me feel like rolling it out the front door?

    Copam 2500

Just saw the copam 2500 on ebay .... NICE! BUT ... had I known this was going to be out, I would never bought the MH721 Especially seeings how it will only cut one project then stop working until I reboot my whole computer(using Flexi). Makes it pretty dang tough to get jobs done in time for customers that way... personally, I think I wasted my money on the MH721 since it doesnt work more than it does. Anyone wanna buy an almost brand new (less than week old) MH721 with only 3 4ft sections on vinyl ran through it??

    where to get vinyl

SignSupplyStone.com aka sskonline.com is now closed up??? Well thats just terrific They had all the specialty fantasy vinyls I need/want. So now where to get good deals on FDC stuff like the catseye or oilslick, etc...?

    Interesting problem

Matt - have you tried just sizing it in the design window and not messing with the sizing in P.M.? I've never monkeyed with the sizing in the Prod. Mgr window, always leave it at 100%, just size it in the dsign window ahead of time, then hit cut/plot, then send and never had a problem yet (well at least not yet)

    Help with MH721 in Flexi

Just got cutter (MH721) about a few days ago from Selltopia (finally won one on eBay lol) Using FexiSign Pro 7.6v2 Cutter setup says "e speed +4 vale" Baud 9600 Computer (Dell Inspiron9100XPS w/WinXP Pro) has no lpt or serial ports, only USB Flexi says it's on COM4 for this cutter / 9600 - 8 - n - 1 - flow control hardware - only box checked is CTS Loaded the virtual usb serial converter and that show up in device mgr under my usb ports Can cut once, if I'm lucky twice (switching rolls of vinyl) before it stops cutting and throws out a write port error (in prod mgr says "cannot open port). After that only way it will cut again is if I uninstall all the usb drivers from computer and let them reinstall. I know there's got to be a way to fix so I can cut and keeping cutting when switching vinyl or going to the next cut job ... so, where's the prob lay? Help please, before I go ballistic on this whole contraption LOL
