I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. a Rhombus with a 45 angle at 17mm high will only be 41mm wide. If you're just wanting a diamond shape that is 17x150 you can start with a square, rotate it 45 degrees then stretch it to 17 x 150.

hmmm, that's weird. It shouldn't track differently like that. Only thing I can think of that might cause that would be a drag one direction and not the other but I have no idea how such a drag could happen. That might be a question for actual tech support.

By tracking, do you mean when you cut a 4 or 5' design the cuts don't line up, or the vinyl moves to the side? If the cuts are not lining up, that is a true tracking problem. If the vinyl is just moving to the side, that is more likely a setup problem and you didn't have the vinyl loaded perfect or you didn't pre-feed and the machine is pulling the vinyl off the roll. Doing that puts additional strain on the feed motors and rollers and can cause things to shift. Pre-feed the vinyl and your "tracking" problem should go away.

I don't believe the Pro version has the mask tools. Is the triangle pattern a raster image or a vector? If vector, you can put it behind your text then use the Shapping tool and select Common. I believe that tool is available in VM Pro.

Yeah, the cameo is actually a graphtec, just small. You'll be extremely frustrated trying to use an MH. Even an SC will probably be a bit frustrating at times. And if you're wanting to do large decals an MH is not a good option as it's tracking is not very good over long distances. Anything bigger than about 24" and it's a gamble if the cuts will line up.

The only way an MH is a step up is in size. You should look at an SC or better. Which craft cutter do you have, most of them are quit good at small detail and the MH is not. At least not without a lot of tweeking and tuning.

You probably need a null modem cable as well. You typically can not connect a usb-2-serial directly to the hardware. You usually need a straight serial cable or a null modem cable. If the EH is the same as the MH you need the null modem cable.

No, the depth is NOT fine. 1/2 credit card is about 10x to much blade exposure. Follow Mz. Skeeter's instructions for setting blade depth. You only need about 0.003" of an inch of blade exposed.

Not a Graphtec user here, but sounds like he's wanting to hit a button on the machine itself. So unless there is a setting in the machine itself not to return to home after a job I suspect using the copy button on the machine will not work the way you want. In the software, does the cut screen stay up? Could you just hit cut again or something on the computer? That's how I do it with VM.

Depending on what all you're doing, Inkscape might be an option to look at. It is free and extremely powerful. I think I've seen on here mention where it is closer to corel than AI in learning how todo stuff, so will probably be a pretty good learning curve as well, but it's hard to beat the price. Inkscape also works well on WIndows(hate the term PC, all computers are PCs unless they are a mainframe), Mac, and Linux.

6mm? That's nearly 1/4". I don't believe any vinyl plotter can cut something that thick. Now if you mean 6 mil, 0.006", that would might be doable.

Follow Mz Skeeter's instructions for setting blade depth and then cut as slow as possible to start with, gradually increase speed to something you are happy with and still getting good cuts. Over cut and offset may need to be adjusted as well. What vinyl and cutter? they are not all created equal and if you have a MH or other low level cutter cutting 1/8" letters may simply not be possible.

You could try Inkscape if you need something in a pinch. Inkscape is not designed as a cutting program but it does offer that ability and is not terrible to use. As a hobbiest, I used it exclusively for several years for cutting.

I think you may still have too much blade exposed. If you can see the blade in a photo, you probably have too much. You only need about 3 mil (0.003") sticking out.

That is actually one of the Confederate Navy's flags which was based on the battle flag of the army of Northern Virginia which was led by General Lee. The battle flag was actually a square rather than the typical 3x5 rectangle. I just like to spread accurate yet useless information.

Often times what looks the obvious button is not the real button you need to click, it's an ad of some sort. You have to pay close attention to download the actual file you want.
