    Softball graphic

Greetings everyone! I've had a request for a design for a softball team... I'm looking for a batter hunched over his bat with a grin on his face... you get the idea... the team name is "We Got Wood" and they're in a wooden bat charity tournament the end of this month. Searching this site didn't yield what I was looking for, and when I do a google search on something like that I get a lot of hits on porn sites... :-( Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!! Thanks! Pat Brooks Brooks Embroidery & Screen Printing

Nice stuff! Do you use vinyl to create your stencils, or do you use stencils from the craft shops? I like Armour Etch, but find that sometimes I have issues with it leaching under the stencil. How do you handle that? Thanks!!! :-)

    Starlight mug press?

Hello everyone... haven't been around in a while - embroidery business has kept me hopping! Does anyone know anything about a Starlight mug press? I need to purchase a mug press and there's a Starlight on eBay, but there isn't much info about it. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!! What do you do when your not working?

Pray for continued favor and grace... and then go up to my personal sewing room and work on the quilt of the day; take the dog for a long walk... clean my house because when I work I don't pay attention to the house; and enjoy my grandchildren!

    Shirts and weight question

6 oz is usually the heavy weight shirt... I stick with 100% cotton tees, and I don't have a problem with the white ones from Port and Company (Sanmar brand) being see-through... I actually prefer the Sanmar PC61 shirts - they're pretty sturday and don't show through...
  13. I've got a Creation PCut 1300 and I use SignCut Pro. I use a USB cable between the cutter and the computer. At times when I send a file to the cutter it says it's cutting on the computer, but the display on the cutter says "working usb" and production comes to a halt. I unplug the cable, power down the cutter, close out of SignCut, restart the cutter, restart SignCut, plug everything back in, and it MAY work for one file... then it goes back to acting stupid. Sometimes swapping the cable works, sometimes not, sometimes rebooting the computer works along with rebooting the cutter, sometimes not... and it's getting frustrating. New cutter is being looked at, but in the meantime, I gotta get this job done. Any ideas on what to do to get this thing to cooperate? Thanks!
  14. Uninstalling and then reinstalling SignCut seems to have fixed it for now... but will try all advice at least once!! You guys are the best - I knew there was a reason that I found this group!!
  15. I looked at the back of the computer and it looks like there's a connection for a serial cable there - I don't remember that kind of cable coming with the cutter but I'll definitely look... just reinstalled SignCut and cussed a lot at the computer and the cutter and now it seems to be... oh wait, can't say that because it'll hear me!! ;-) Thansk for all the suggestions - will definitely try them!
  16. No... will look into that and see what happens... thanks!
  17. Yes, have done that a couple of times too... and it seems to be only a temporary fix...

    Tshirt design software

i use Smart Designer X4.5 in conjunction with Corel X5... and I love it. It's expensive though - $600 if I remember correctly. And right now it doesn't work with X6 - they're talking about an update for it, but not sure when/if it's going to be available.

Update on my mom if interested

That's good news that they've figured out what the cause of the trouble is!! Prayers for continued healing for your wonderful Momma, and prayers for you and yours for continued peace, strength, and patience during this trying time - hugs to you all!!

    who does embroidery?

Setup will depend on the digitizer... if it's just text I usually don't charge a setup fee - if I have to digitize it, a hat/left chest logo runs $35. Cost for the stitchout depends on the number of stitches in the logo and how many pieces I'm doing. For instance, if your logo works out to between 6k and 7k stitches, three hats would cost you $7 each to embroider, plus the cost of the digitizing if I need to do that. PM me your logo and I can get a better estimate on the embroidery for you if you want...

    Starting to loose it.

There's got to be some sort of respite care program for caregivers where you are... check with your social services department and see if they have anything. And definitely take some time for yourself... you need time to unwind and unload and and decompress and deal with stuff yourself. Talk with your mom's caregivers and see if they offer any kind of family counseling or can recommend something - sounds like your dad is taking his fears about possibly being without your mom out on himself and on you. I believe in the power of prayer, and will be praying for and thinking about all three of you during this challenging and frustrating time. Hugs to you!!
