    oracal 951

Coaster36, Florida Graphics sells 951 by the yard in 15" and 24" widths, that helps if you have a small job in an odd color you'll probably not use again.

    PENCIL MARKS

Just an old #2 pencil? I just wrote on a white piece of coroplast, used a white nylon eraser and it came right off.
  10. Here you go. It's a 2003 but they haven't changed. Ford stopped making the Crown Vic in 2008 for the general public and 2011 for law enforcement. They came out with the Taurus based police interceptor to replace it in 2012. Ford460.eps

    oracal 951

I do, I use 951 most of the time. It is Oracal's top of the line cast vinyl. It conforms to compound curves, has the longest outdoor life (10 to 12 years) and doesn't shrink. 651 is Oracal's top of the line calendered vinyl It is less expensive, .5mil thicker, is intended for a flatter surface and has a 4 to 6 year outdoor life. They are manufactured by two completely different processes. Cast is just what it is called , it's poured out on a tray and left to set so there's no memory or tension. On the other hand calendered vinyl is rolled out like a pie crust. It's stretched into it's width and length so it tries to return to a smaller size. My plotter leaves marks on all vinyl where the pinch rollers ride, even paper I run through to draw out a design.

    Hello and HELP!

Hello and Welcome. I agree with dakotagrafx, run the vinyl in and out before you start your cut. I've got marks in the front and read of the cutter. I make sure the vinyl is aligned with the same marks front and rear. then I run it out and back in to make sure before I start the cut.

    Army green color vinyl?

Army Green is generally a flat olive color Oracal 641 is a gloss Economy Calendered vinyl. Oracal has 631 which is a Exhibition Calendered vinyl. It has a matte finish and comes in Olive #493 the only draw back is it is intended for indoors but does have a 3 year outdoor life. The adhesive is rated as removable. Almost all of the wall murals are done with 631. Hope this helps

    Summa USB Connection

I have a D60 and this is what I do. hook up the plotter to the usb and turn it on. Run the plotter software it will find the plotter and install the drivers. Another thing I found out. If for some reason you have to disconnect the plotter from the computer and don't get it back in the same USB port, you have to reinstall the software. Great plotter by the way, I've had mine for some time now and I bought it used. Still going great.

How do I cut only half?

Hi Paul Maybe I can help. First open your design in flexi. Second click the Cut/Plot icon. The Production Manager will open which you can minimize. Now you should have the Cut/ Plot window open as in picture one. You won't need to cut your design in half, The production Manager will do this in the Cut/Plot window for you. Picture 01. General Tab #1. You will need to set the width of the vinyl. I have it set to 23 inches, my plotter will not cut the full 24 inches because of the pinch rollers. So set your to what the max width your plotter will cut. #2. Make sure you rotate the vinyl so you're cutting horizontally. Picture 02. Panel Tab #1. Notice the panel is 48.2", that's because there is a .1" border around the whole panel. #2. Flexi set the Tile height to 22.9" and set the number of tiles to 3. I don't know if you can change the number of tiles due to the width of the vinyl you are using. #3. Look at the tiles 2 tiles will be 22.9" and the bottom Tile will be 2.2" Picture 3 (Panel Tab (same as Picture 2) #1. I reduced the height of the tiles to 16" #2. Notice how the bottom Tile is now about 16" also. #3. This is overlap it's set to .2 which is a little less than 1/4" you can set this higher if you want more overlap. or set it to 0 if you want to butt the tiles up to one another. I suggest you overlap. Just remember that if you make each tile 16" you will have approximately 8" of vinyl by 8' long times 3 of scrap that you can use on another project. I hope this helps.

    Kids at Play silhouette?

I've used an X-acto knife and a guillotine type paper cutter. Either would work for the straight lines and the X-acto knife would work for the curves. It would be slow when cutting across the flutes.
