Hay thanks i will check it out
-
let me set this up for you ... TEXT = RED SHADOW = Black APPLICATION SURFACE = WHITE Is there a way to get both these colors onto 1 app tape so application to final media can be done by the customer in one step ?
-
now that might be the ticket ,, seeing as I am located in the asshole of Texas ... at least 100 miles in any real direction from cyvilization .. i will have to order it and wait but In for a penny in for a pound .. what is another 30.00 on top of the investment so far ,, lol
-
Are you referring to a PCMCIA to Serial ?
-
LOL here is a new fresh hell .. I have no serial ports on my main system either LMAO !!
-
Well it looks like i am going to have to move this equipment to my main system .. I think you are right in that the USB interface is problematic .. I ran another cut and it did about the same % of the job then made a run (cut) from the bottom tire to the top of the riders head in a straight line and the a 45 degree angle across the entire job and stopped now the software has stopped responding and the cutter is "online ) and idle DAMN!!
-
last night i grabbed this file and cut it perfectly .. no deep cuts or issues with picking up weed .. I wanna say that short of a few tweeks the plotter (PCut) is set up properly . I cut this to a size of about 12" x 5" so i feel that whatever problem i am encountering are software and ID10T errors nowtranimals_00r.eps tranimals_00r.eps
-
getting a bunch of errors on initializing the cutter ,, it is installed to com6 right now ,, hmm wa a default of com5 when i first installed it
-
ok no serial connect on my laptop .. I could move the software to my main box and run it off my desktop and make use of the serial connects there ,, but that will pose issues down the road if and when i get to a point where i wanna be, ie portable at races and events cutting for $$'s .. but that is a thousand miles away. First i gotta learn this stuff gonna retry the cut again . the last time i ran it it seemed to do great right up till it froze... glad i got pleant of matts
-
grinding = computer chewing on the information
-
Yes i am using a USB connect to run the plotter I am gonna get Inkscape ASAP ... just gotta figure out what supporting software i will need to get in order to do the basics
-
Ok .. well after a 5 min wait i decided to try to cancel the job nad the progi is not responding ,, Hmm Hi Terry by the looks of it ,, you and Jay are regulars on this site ,, thanks for looking into my issue for me .. Please be paitent with me .. I am brand new and I am sure I willl be asking a tom of gooberish questions, but I am determined to learn how to use this new toy .. In the event of a stall on the SB software is there a way to get it back up and running without a full system reboot ?
-
hmm well by the looks of it the job is stalled .. The SB software is not locked up , but it is not sending the rest of the job to the cutter either ,, I am running this software on a 2ghz XPS that has a ton of ram on it. Wouldnt think it would be a resource issue. the cutter isnt fouled .. it is in a wait state,
-
running it now. reduced the tile size to 8.17 x 10.40 ... the cut is going great .. but it stopped and the system is grinding on sending output to cutter ,, been a while .. hmm you posted it up so fast ,, what were the steps ? give a man a fish, feed him for a day.....
