Whats the point of adding a packing peanut to the envelope?

This seems to be a more active sub-forum then the inkscape one I posted in eariler. I need some guidence on selecting objects in vectors I created. Say I want to select the windows and move them a bit, how do I do that? This is my first vector and I used trace bitmap to do the vectoring and it seemed to work good. Would it be better to trace it? (just learned about it 2 mins ago.) Can you evaluate my vector and see if theres anything I can do to make it better? Seems like theres a lot of nodes but Im a noob so I dont know. Any tips and tricks you guys can pass down?

So if I wanted to rotate the windows a little to level them I would have to move each of the nodes? I cant just select all the nodes in the windows with a box?

And if anyone can "evaluate" the vector? Im new at this and its pretty much my first vector. Can I have done anything better/different?

Ok Ive probably spent an hour trying to find the answer to this. Ive read some posts on here that are exactly what I want to do but they dont seem to work. So I have this image that I vectorized and say I want to select just a part of it and tweak it, how the hell do I do it? Should be so simple. Ive tried every thing, every way and it just wont break apart! Its driving me nuts.

Theres just one example. But it can be any vector. Say I want to move the windows a bit. Please explain how to do it so I can learn. Thanks

I just bought a used Copam 2500 and after trying to install the drivers for the usb to serial adapter I get that error message. Ive tried using the driver on the mini cd that came with the cutter and I tried using the driver from the support page(black box command screen) and I never see the cord in my device manager. The only thing I see when I plug in the cord is "usb-serial controller under other devices" and that doesnt let me change ports.

Ive been though all the support pages and never saw something as user friendly as the first link you gave. That makes it really easy to follow. Sadly it didnt fix my problem. My computer doesnt want to play nice with the driver or this cord. It cant find the driver after i downloaded it from the support page.

Where was this yesterday!?!? Well Ive had some success, I got the cutter to work with my old XP laptop. So everything works, the problem is with vista(shocker). Ill follow those steps and try and get it to work with this laptop. Thanks for that link. It should be stickied in every forum.
