I think mine is on its way out as well. I love it, nothing special just a logitech. Its starting to double click as well. Its going on about 6 years old. It owes me nothing. I just cant pick a new one. You gave me an idea. Im thinking the left button is going out. And I dont use the right click near enough to care if it double clicks sometimes. I may just swap buttons.

I just tried it. I made a square with an arrow in the middle. Selected all of them. Combined them. It punched out the arrow and I still cant select both the outside of the square and the arrow to move the nodes together. Am I missing something? I did this alot with inkscape. Is it not a normal function? Does anyone else do that?

Thats not what im saying. Lets say I have a square with an arrow in the middle. I can either select the outside of the square or the arrow to edit the nodes. I can only select one at a time. Lets say I want to drag the left side of the box and the arrow at the same time. How do I select the box and arrow to drag the nodes? Id make an example but im at work.

Vinylmaster does have some neat features and I cant imagaine there is no way to select multiple nodes or objects while in node edit. I can drag a box around the ones that are active but If I have a punch out inside my design, I cant select the outline and inside object at the same time.

Yeah I think I might go back to inkscape for editing. Its so much easier and I have a lot more experience with it.

Ok that seems to work with regular objects but not when Im trying to edit nodes.

I do it all the time.... Usually if Im on a work computer and need to text a picture or If Im sending a quick proof to a buddy. No one seems to mind.

Got it working. I guess my attempt at calibrating induced my own errors. I recalibrated with the blade and did a few runs. Cutting great so far. Just need to wait on my paper to arrive and I can finish this run of 75 "stickers"

How the heck do you use that?

I actually had just figured that out. Thanks Jay. The learning curve isnt to bad with this software.

Well I do a little contour cutting with my workforce. Nothing crazy. It seems like pro also supports contour cuts.

Hmm I thought I edited this I ended up finding the comparison. I didnt notice a big advantage to xlt. The prices on amazon and fleabay are pretty much the crossgrade price but amazon has better shipping at $4 vs $15.90

What are the differences between pro and xpt?

Does anyone have any information on vinylmasters crossgrade pricing? I may be misunderstanding it but If I tell them I used signblazer and inkscape and want to go to vinylmaster they give me a discount? Sorry to hijack the post....

I think I tried to download it and it never worked or I was having issues. I know I tried and went back to the old one. All I use it for is cutting so its not to big a deal but I think its time to upgrade too.

Is the end of the cable smooth? Maybe the board came defective and there is a bent contact inside the connector? Look inside to make sure its clear.

Id say take a picture. Some ribbon cables connectors(on the board) have a little lever that lays flat when its closed/locked. Make sure you lift that up to open the connector before you install the cable.

Just want to let everyone know there is a new version of inkscape. It looks like it has some new features so it might be worth a check. Im downloading it now.

Well it seemed my mouse just wasnt happy. I guess it was sending a double click signal or something. It was driving me crazy.

What freaking setting did I change to limit my nodes when drawing a bezier line? It used to make as many nodes as I wanted now it only does 3. Its driving me crazy.
