In this tutorial I would like to explain how I created these stripes: there really isnt much to it. 0. measure the length of stripe needed (In the test subjects case (My wife's Mini Cooper) it is 35") 1. open SignBlazer 2. select the "Square" button (I quote it because in small icon size toolbar like I use all the buttons are square so this is the square "square" button ) 3. Make a long rectangle 4. boom, there is your stripe, now multiply it if you need more so you dont waste the vinyl. 5. you can add tracer lines around the outside for added effect.(Please check out the attached file of my stripes) 6. load vinyl and check to make sure that your paper is not moving sideways and with the buttons make sure that the vinyl is stays as straight as possible 7. our favourite part.... CUT!! Hope this helps someone Wayne mini-fixed.SBD mini-fixed.SBD

Hey eveyone, I am just starting to play around with Flexi 7.6v2 and cant locate the drivers in the setup. There are no creation drivers and no PNC-1000 DGI drivers. I could have sworn that someone posted a link to download them from the UScutter site or something but after several searches I cant locate them. thanks for any help you can provide. thanks Wayne

Where is this crazy unmask command everyone keeps talking about?
-
so you just want to cut in one colour.... Ok so click cutter, select the top colour, hold shift then click the last color, then you should have check marks on all the colours. Your output window should show all the panels and as you know, anything you see in the output is what gets cut. Wayne

when I have the graphic selected convert to outlines is not highlighted and Im not sure where to find unmasked... I havent been able to node edit anything yet actually.

Hi everyone, yes I have had this cutter for 3 years now and I am just starting to use serial now. How much vinyl have I wasted on USB? I care not to comment about it can someone give me some pointers, I have verified the com port in bios in hardware manager and in SBE all are matched and using hardware handshake, I would even be happy to use parallel, but neither of them work thanks, Wayne -

Even if I have a serial port? I bought this new to me machine to dedicate to my vinyl cutting. Wayne -
I will do that NOW, thanks Wayne

So will the static problem be fixed by just using a real serial port? Wayne

I have to say after 3 years of this Im getting a little tired of it, nothing acceptable fixes it, not wiring the cutter to the stand and to the radiator, nothing. My only way if you wanna fix it?? take is of the stand, set it on the floor and cut till your hearts content. I wish there was a better answer. I just had it stop again and wasted 3feet of vinyl. The issue seems to arise when there is a connection to earth, the stand is wavering ground, when you take it off the stand and sitting on the rubber feet your cutter is then isolated from ground. Unfortunately my cutter is a 1351 and a PIA to move around my house because its to huge. I can hear the USB disconnect and reconnect. if it was straight up serial would it still do that? Sorry im frustrated, I love my cutter, but this is nuts. Wayne

If you have an intel mac, you could always buy paralells or vmware and run it in window mode.

HI, I was wondering if anyone can help me identify this font? I have it traced with inkscape, but I would be under estimating if I said that there are 2000 nodes and the cutter has a stroke trying to cut it and it takes, around 10 minutes, AND the letters are rough looking. Thanks! Wayne
