Well I spoke too soon...got one sheet of decals out and started the 2nd one and it just stopped again... Just touched it ad shocked myself as well..static buildup I'm assuming

Well I reground the cutter, turned it off, unplugged it, restarted my computer (all which I've done before and not working) and boom, we have liftoff! These things are so temperamental!

We've had our cutter for almost 4 years now, SC model. Haven't had any problems out of it. Computer crashed so had to purchase a new one. Was on the phone with US Cutters and they helped me through setting up my software, testing the cutter etc...everything worked fine for almost a month, then one about 2 weeks ago, it decided to stop mid cut on decal 3 out of 20 (which is what I normally run per time). I thought maybe it was because of how cold it had gotten..office doesn't have heat, and we had single digit weather for a few days. But I've tried a few different things and it's still doing it, and it's a lot warmer now...I've re-ground the cutter thinking maybe it was static buildup, but alas nothing any ideas for me??

Been using our cutter for almost a year now and finally got everything working right and our decals seem to be a breeze. One thing I have started noticing last few days or so is that the blade is cutting right through the actual logo, just when it makes the outline around the entire design when it is about finished..the last line it cuts go straight through some of my lettering. Is this an issue with the blade? I haven't changed anything with my design layout so I don't think that would be the problem... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

ok bought a Keyspan...installed the drivers/software, the com port matches in signcut where it's plugged in and nothing.......

thanks for trying..i'm waiting on their customer service to get back with me..i'm stumped

Yes just reinstalled the drivers and everything matches on device manager and in signcut....

We have: US Cutter SC1261 Windows Vista SignCut When we started doing vinyl cuts, our cutter would stop midway through a run of decals. I came on here and was told I needed a Keyspan. Got a Keyspan, hooked it up, send the image through Signcut to the cutter, and it does nothing. I've installed the drivers, etc..but the bar just pops up and the time keeps increasing saying sending to cutter... Any ideas? Or help? Thanks, Jeremy

hello, new to the vinyl cutting thing..we have an sc1261 and have been cutting window decals and stickers for our shop for the last week or so and things seem to be going smoothly! thanks for this forum, it seems like it'll help us out a lot!

We recently got a US Cutter SC1261. I have been cutting vinyl decals and window banners no problem. Last night I went to print out a bigger one 21"x44" and it stopped midway through the cut. Came into day and reset the cutter and the computer and it got almost all the way finished and did it again. I searched through here and read it could be static buildup, so we grounded the cutter to the stand thinking that would fix our problem. I just now went to cut it, and it got maybe a quarter of the way through it and it stopped again..The green bar hasn't moved and the estimated time keeps going up... Can anybody help? Thanks
