If you are just starting out and have limited funds, get the press from ebay...or get a sunie. I bought a 16x24 press on ebay for less than 300 total for the press and shipping. Have had it for 8 months and it works fine. The temperature is dead on over the entire platen and my work turns out great. The sunie was out of stock when I wanted the 16x24 so I went with the ebay one. I say run the chinese press until it dies, and by then you will have made enough to buy any heat press you want.

I did a ribbed tank and it turned out fine. I just set my press to a more firm pressure. It worked and has lasted a couple months so far. However, I did warn the customer that i cant guarantee the work because of the type of shirt, she wanted it anyways...

White, Black, Grey, Red, Blue I really only keep enough in stock for smaller orders (12 or less). I order my shirts and get them in 2 days. When I order I just get 1 or 2 more shirts of each size and factor those shirts into the cost of the job. You'll end up not using most of those extras and can add them to your inventory, but they will already have been paid for by other jobs you did so any other jobs you do with those extra shirts is pure goodness. Im doing an order for 155 shirts now and ordered somewhere around 180 shirts for it.

get some crap vinyl and practice practice practice......this forum is a good one to learn from so stick around.....what skills/experience do you have? cant really help someone if we dont know what level you are at. fill us in and the help will come

Heres mine...its a 9x10 room and is very cramped. Heat press is in the garage for two reasons...no room in the office, and it throws the breaker if used in this room. I've just got two embroidery machines that get the job done, my anajet dtg printer that is new and i plan on getting it up and running soon, some t-shirt vinyl and sign vinyl, and the refine mh721 (best 275 dollars i ever spent on ebay)......oh, cant forget to mention the 26" sanyo for design work.

I have a customer with VERY specific needs. He has two trucks that were lettered at separate times. He likes the first truck and wants me to remove all the vinyl off of the second truck and match the colors & lettering EXACTLY to the first. I have the pantone colors for the vinyl but cant find a distributor that allows you to pick such specific colors. Its an important client that will bring more work in for me so i need to get it all right. Any help is appreciated.

thats not a bad idea..i'll be redoing half of the first truck anyways...but, he still want his colors...and i would still like to have something with all of the 3m vinyl colors on it for future reference....anyone??

you wont be able to print/cut from a cad program (ie. autocad)....but as ken said..you can export to dxf or eps and get the results you are looking for

Hello all....my heat press was giving me a fit....but finally got everything just right....used siser easy weed, and it lived up to its name my first 3 shirts, done for some kids in our youth group what a relief to finally see some kind of product after spending all kinds of money and time on getting this stuff up and running....AMEN

they are just a little stiffer than screenprint....but they look just like it

someone has requested a font called "artistic bold"....does anyone have it? Ive searched with no luck. I dont even know what the font looks like so I cant choose a similar font. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

i bought stuff like that as well....only 1 roll though....it was white vinyl and could hold my hand up behind the vinyl and see the color of my skin....stuff was horrible....

tension on the belt is adjusted by taking off the left side (looking at the front of the cutter) and tightening the screw...you'll know it when you see it....that may not be your problem though
