CB15 1.5mm Blade holder Question
LogoCrazy replied to LogoCrazy's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Discussion
OK, Now I am confused, why is the spring optional? Is it used for some applications but not for others? Is there a chart somewhere I can reference? Thanks -
I have been told that using a 1.5mm blade is much better for cutting reflective vinyl. I know the .9 blue holder requires blades with springs that are included with the .9 blades. I have noticed that the 1.5 blades come without springs. Do you not need springs with CB15 1.5 blade holders? Thanks

The easiest way to get the adhesive off is to work it slowly off using a nylon squeege. You can use the one you apply vinyl or the mask with. 1. Remove the old strip, 2. Starting at one end work the adhesive into a roll, then using a combination of the nylon squeege and your fingers roll the adhesive over itself. 3. Work towards the other end, the adhesive will actually stick to itself and allow removal. This seems to be the best method and won't cause any damage that solvents usually do to the plastic. Once you get it off clean the metal base with alcohol and let it dry before placing the new strip in place.

CE5000 Series Graphtec DVD Video Tutoral
LogoCrazy replied to LogoCrazy's topic in GraphTec Cutting Plotter Support Requests
After doing some digging I found a link to email the support dept. of Graphtec. After a few email I was able to get Graphtec to send me a copy, if you are new to the cutter like me it really gives you a good starting point. It has setup and startup videos, details on software loading, configuration and use. Explains contour cutting, blade setups, correct media loading and various different cutter software. This DVD would probably be of little use to the experienced user but it was just what I needed! -

The Orientation shown in cutting master 2 does not overide what is set in cutting controller? The instructional video is discussed on the graphtec site, it's mentioned about 3/4 way through the video, check it out http://www.graphtecamerica.com/ce5000series.html Thanks -

I recently purchased a used CE5000-60 and am having problems getting the unit to cut in the orientation as shown in cutting master 2. As I understand it the new CE5000 series come with a factory DVD Tutorial/Introduction disc. Does anyone know where I might be able to get one or download and burn one? Since I am new to vinyl cutting this is a real learing experience and a little knowledge would help a great deal. Thanks
