So I Just sent this off to Vista Print for some new Cards. Though I would post up since Other people were doing the same. Feel free to comment!

Great Job! Wish I could get my cutter working well enough to cut stuff that small
-
I'd try the Keyspan.

It's Applesauce. Download here for Mac or PC http://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/Applesauce.htm

Yay! My ideas worked. Hmmm I guess my engineer title on my business card is good for something Yes there was a update that came through from apple a couple weeks ago that caused some wireless connection problems. The Short term fix was to turn off IPv6. They released a proper fix within 2 days. Glad you got it working. The Keyspan is a worthwhile investment I've found. There was a discussion going on that it should have been included for the mac folks. But let's not get into that here. I would Contact Ken or SignCut regarding your licensing issue. They should be able to straighten that out for you. Signcut is a little strange how it licenses it self.

Yeah, Before purchasing the Cutter, I also read the forums a bit. Seemed like the common consensus was that a Keyspan adapter was a necessary for Mac users. I ordered one the same time i ordered the Cutter. Model number is USA-19HS. Order from newegg.com You should have it in a few days.

Well, the new board they sent to me was incorrect. However, I've still been using the cutter because I had some jobs that had to get done. Here is what I found out.... Just by random Trial and Error. After the cutter finishes a Job, you get a dialog on the screen that has options relating to 'Feed Forward for Cutting", "Stop after Cut" and "Cancel". *note that may not be the exact wording... I'm not in front of the software right now. Clicking "Stop after Cut" Seems to release the Cutter and the "Waiting" Message goes away. However, anything else keeps it in the "Waiting" mode. This really seems like a driver problem to me. It's not sending the right Data to close commands when they finish. Or maybe it's waiting for a response from the cutter that it's not receiving. Either way, that seems to be working for me ok. A little frustrating.... However no where near as frustrating as the problem I'm having now. For the Life of me I can't get this thing to Close all cuts and it's rounding some of the corners on Block fonts. Tried Offsets from 0.00 to .45 mm, tried all kinds of overcut settings. Cleaned and oiled the blade, changed speed and pressure, tried different files, and fonts. Very, very frustrating. Any Idea Ken?

I would try re-installing the most current version of Quicktime. Launch SignCut. If still no Joy, try re-running Combo updater here http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosx10411comboupdateppc.html

well, There was some issues with the 10.4.11 combo updater. Last time you did a software update did everything go okay? any crashes or hanging up? what version of Quicktime is currently installed? There was also a problem with a version of quicktime causing some apps crashing.

Ensure that you have the most up-to date version. I downloaded directly from the Signcut Site. Then, Try clearing your preferences and letting sign cut rebuild them. User/library/application support/preferences/ Delete signcut import preferences. It should rebuild it on your next launch. Run Disc utility and repair permissions on your drive. Those are the first steps to take. Give that a shot, we'll dig deeper if that doesn't work.

I'm with BannerJohn on this one. I had a CraftRobo for a short time also. Blades are expensive, they wear out quickly, the plug-in for Mac is written by a third party, which worked well with CS2 but not so good with CS3. They are also very limited in the size media they can handle. . It got me started doing some small business, but I quickly outgrew it. I'm running a Laserpoint 24, using Illustrator CS3 and SignCut on a MacPro Quad 2.6, 8 GB Ram, OS X 10.5.2. A keyspan Serial to USB converter is a must.

Laserpoint 24. Had it for about a month now. Even with the couple of problems I've had.... It paid for itself in 4 days
