What kind of substrate are you installing on? I had a lot of bubbles installing layer upon layer and than installing on the substrate, so much so I ended up remaking it and installing directly to the trailer one layer at a time. It looks real nice, post some pictures once you install it.

towman208 is way better but if you want to try tracing this will give you some idea, this was done rather quickly but will give you the general idea. Part one: http://screencast.com/t/PBKyw6HkL7d Part two: http://screencast.com/t/5RNW2eRbqva

    First Big Job

I installed the little guy in this order white, black, the blue, yellow and red did not matter. All were installed directly to the trailer one at a time dry. Using parchment paper. Mask the white and install, than mask the next layer and remove the silcone vinly paper backing and put a piece of parment paper over the white and install the black layer. The vinly will not stick to the parchment paper and you can see thru it to line up the following layers. Hope this make since, if not just ask and I will try to do better explaining it. I learned this somewhere on this board, I wish I could remember where so I could give proper credit. By the way parchment paper can be bought at the grocery store sold as cookie sheet paper. I did a 1/4 lap on the black and white because my cutter only cuts a little over 14" hardly noticeable even up close. I chose to overlap instead of a butt joint to allow for shrinkage, which I also learned on this site.

    Manual trace with inkscape question.

I've been doing it the same as you except after I delete the line I adjust the fill by expanding the nodes. It will be interesting to see if someone has a better solution.

  12. how to add information

  13. It still has to be set in the Graphtec Plotter Controller, go ahead and set it to 144" or as long as you think you will ever be cutting. I had the same problem when I was cutting a big job a while back even though I was using SB and vinyl was set large enough to cut the image in SB.
  14. Arty-rc is right go to your Graphtec cutting plotter controller and change the vinyl length.

    Can anyone convert/clean these?

Pretty cool, are you going to cut them in black and white or try to layer them in color. Impossible to get that look with out having them printed. IMO

  21. Here is a more complex design in Inkscape. I am not saying this is the only or even the best way but it is one way to do it. http://screencast.com/t/XQbLzoMm Took about 5 minutes. Computer is acting a little quirkey, so here is the details. 1. dupilcate the image 2. use bucket fill to fill the image 3. move the final fill so you can delete the other fillls 4. change color 5. resize if neccessary and center over your orginal image. 6. save file as EPS so you can cut it.

need wording or know where to find it

    Is this it?
  23. I design in Inkscape, it will give you better choices to work with. But I don't think you can import EPS files into it only export.
