    Printing with Pigment ink?

What vinyl do you all use for printing stickers and decals?

    Question about Epson WF1100

What kind of vinyl is JPSS? Keep in mind I don't do t-shirts, only vinyl for lettering and such.

    Question about Epson WF1100

After checking the boards for about 15 hours over the last few days, I'm still getting mixed answers from here, signwarehouse, and fellers. I just simply need these questions answered: 1. Is the Epson Workforce 1100 an Inkjet printer? Is it water based, pigment, or dye? 2. Given the type of ink, what are some specific examples of vinyl I can print on? (I would like to purchase rolls vs. sheets if possible) 3. Should I buy replacement ink cartridges and use a different ink? Thanks a ton!

    Starting Home Based Business

I've worked in a sign shop for a year or so and have always had a passion for it. I now have a full time job else where but have been doing small run vinyl graphics for some race teams in the area. I dont have the money to expand to laminate and print but I know being able to can really help me gain more clients. After checking these boards, it looks like I could use a wide format printer (such as an Epson Workforce 1100 - $200), printable vinyl, and hand lamination with a big squegee. Granted, I will need to invest in another plotter more than likely (I have a USCutter MH 751). Do many people print this way from home, or does this idea fall a little short? Thank you for any advice you have available!

    Can't scan in images

My new problem is that when I cut, it also cuts box around the image. Any solutions? And when I try to select the image after a node edit, the image is white to where you cant see it.

    Can't scan in images

I don't know how common this problem is, but when I try to scan in an image with my epson scanner, it saves as JPEG. When i open it in Sign Blazer, it tells me I can't cut or node edit because it has bitmap in it. How do I change or fix this? What do I need to do to edit it?
  9. Thanks, I have the cutter working pretty good now
  10. Thanks a lot! What are the advantages of a serial vs. usb? and I would take your word on that, but I only have usb capabilities. The driver installation disk doesn't seem to work on my non-internet computer (the one with the usb and parallel ports)
  11. I just bought this cutter 2 days ago and am using a laptop to cut with. The problem is it seems that I need to register SignBlazer to get it to work and I don't have internet on this current laptop. This laptop has a parallel and a usb port to connect to (not serial). I do, however, also have a laptop with internet capabilities but it ONLY has a usb port. My questions are: 1. Can I cut using just the usb port? 2. Do I need to register the software to begin cutting? Thanks!
