Cool, how do you get it to lay flat around the curves without wrinkles and bubbles?

Hi Fellas, Never done a line this long. It's 72" x 7. I was wondering how to apply this, so it comes out straight along the body line. I'm using a copam 2500 for cutting and am not sure if I should order a 15" roll of black and cut it in one piece or order a 24" roll and split it up. What would cut better? Not sure how accurate the Copam can pull back the material to start cutting inside the letters. As for the cake, I'm familiar with reg marks in flexi, but have only done it once with a smaller logo. I would just cut the two colors and lay over each other on the van, right? Using clear packing tape on the reg marks? Any input is highly appreciated P

Thanks, and just to clarify. You mean to cut the line "specializing....." side by side on the 24" . Layering: Are the reg marks actually going to the van and later peeled off?

Do you use the orange peel for prepping also?

Hi all , I have a 22" by 80" headline to do on a van, using 651 pink. All I have is TransferRite Ultra 16" by 50yds and clear Rtape conform 14" by 50yds, but they have been on the shelf for over three years now. Tested both and they work well, pretty sticky still. Should I buy 24" and what brand? Also, haven't done anything that long. Should I hinge in the middle? Thanks, Pepe

Thanks, I wouldn't hesitate buying a 24" roll, but I can't find shorter than 100 yds. Here is a layout I did in Flexi for the cust to review. I was considering the center hinge application for the mainline. Any suggestions appreciated. Vinylm.: Did USC charge $9 to ship the gallon?

Hi fellow cutters, Has anyone purchased the Flexi 8 extreme training DVD on ebay or elsewhere? I saw some selling for $79. Did you learn a lot from it? I can't find much training on youtube. I'm interested in learning how to create two color designs, weld logos with type and repair vectorized images (node editing). I know how to use the pen tool in Photoshop, but Flexi is very different. Never mind. Figured out the node editing part. Path edit, scissor tool and reconnect with bezier tool, arrange/compound.

Thanks soundmasterx, And thanks for the offer. I was trying to vectorize this jpg image, but the circled areas broke up. I could reinforce these in Photoshop, but I'd like to fix the nodes on the vector image in flexi. Is there any way to fuse the nodes so that the lines reconnect ? Than I would like to outline the image, separate both layers, cut the base layer in white and stick the black image on top.

Hello, My friend want's a rat painted on his hot rod. I was thinking to cut and outline first and than freehand airbrush but not sure. Does anyone have a Rat Fink vector? Doesnt have to be this particular one. Thanks

Hi all, After cutting a job I unscrewed the blade holder apart and blasted air in there to get rid of the little vinyl pieces. Now my blade won't stick anymore, it falls out the holder when I hold it upside down. Is there a magnet I lost? Thanks

I thought so. Well, I fixed it by cracking up a small magnet in a vise and dropping a small part of it back in the blade holder bore. Works for now.....but... Is there a replacement magnet available or do I have to buy the hole thing? Thanks

Hi guys, I'm doing this for a friend for free and was wondering how I could get the color out and just the black outlines cuttable on flexi 8.1. The black would be cut and airbrushed and than freehand the colors in. I'd appreciate if anyone can tell me how or do it for me if it's a quickie. Thanks a lot, Pepe

Carl, did you use the "black&white" filter in photoshop and than pulled out the color sliders? Dave, do you have a V8 Miata? I was thinking about doing that to my tired '91
