I'm in the Dallas, Tx area, The big thing here right now is that stupid western star. Its a simple photoshop tool star and everyone is going crazy for them. Even though these things are dumb as heck, I just might jump on that wagon, cause they are buying them for 15.00 in a 4 inch star.

Thank you to all, well the good thing is it came with new ink cartridges. I can sell the printer and carts seperatly to go toward buying what I need. I plugged the printer and ran a test and it printed perfectly.

I recently purchased an HP Designjet 1055cm large format printer. I have 40.00 invested in it, so I don't have alot wasted. It came with ALOT of ink. The guy I purchased it from stated it can print onto glossy also. I know its a plotter and used for architecture work/drawings. I am wanting to know, can I also use it to print onto vinyl or banners? I know it won't cut around the images but if I can get doing back windows, even car doors.....great. I am wanting to know if there has been anyone that has tried this with a machine similar to this. Thank you all for reading and helping on this issue.

I have been trying to print from inkscape over and over again my problom is the size I am trying to print is 11x17, each time it prints an 8.5x11, no matter if I change the document size to 11x17 manually or even choose the correct setting in the printer setup. If any one has had this issue and corrected it, please let me know what you did to correct it.

Never tried it because it's so easy in Sign Blazer why not give that a try? I will give it a try. If you need anymore help let me know That didn't work either, the image is sqewed with lines across the entire image. I have posted an image.

It is Windows, I did also change both to 11x17 and also tried tabloid setting.

I used to have this same problem when I first got my cutter...I then I purchased a USB-Serial converter and the problems all went away. Sad to say I get this issue now all the time in the last few months. So what I have done is I replace the converter, replaced the DB9 (serial port), cleared all the com connections, now when I plug the serial converter it finds com 2 which is good. Because before it would set on com 12 ( signblazer doesn't go past com 8 ) But now when I go to cut things it cuts 1 time and then freezes for the second cut or if I let it set for over 5 mins signblazer freezes. I then can not close signblazer so I have to reboot my computer. Or I can cut at times 2-4 of the same small designs and then it freezes. For those people wanting to suggest uninstalling SBE, it can only be installed 1 time on 1 computer so this is not a solution. Where can I get an update with out all the pop up windows that is listed here on the forum.

I am really sick and tired of using Signblazer Elements. Seems as if there is no support for this software like there used to be when I first got the machine. If you own one of these cutters Please let me know what other software there is that can be used with this cutter. As I am wanting to get away from SBE.

Ok, I have adjusted the offset from 0-40 this is not the issue, I have also made sure the sand paper roller is tight. Seems as if the black pinch roller is slipping but I just bought this last week. Please look at the pictures I have posted, I have wasted over 5 yards of vinyl trying to adjust it, why? Because it only has this issue on long cuts and not on the small cuts.

I have adjusted the belt and the slack has gone away. I have also replaced the blade holder, all the cuts are now closing. Now if I could only get the cutting strip to fit...it is smaller than the original that came with the machine.

I reloaded Signblazer from the forum, it has stopped the wierd cuts.

I have been cutting this decal 3 times so far, and everytime I get the same place that doesn't...not only does it not cut the decal right but it cuts across and starts back at the next point. I have circled this area. If you know or if this has happened to you, please let me know what it might be. Signblazer elements Laserpoint USB connected

I have been going round and round with signblazer trying to figure this out. I need to know how to do the reverse weld, also where do I find the reverse weld button to add it to the top tool bar and once I find the button how do I add it to the toolbar? I do not see the tool on the areas the manual says its at.

Thank you for the information, I have downloaded the software, to me this is an upgrade, with more features than the SB elements. I just cut with the pcut setting and is did a better job than it has been doing. Now I have to test it on a 6 ft banner.

Thank you everyone, I dod have SB elements, and there are 2 choices only. Where can I get the version that has everything.

I was able to make them into jpg's, but with all the work maybe there is someone on here that is willing to work on them for you. Sorry, I can't My day was HELL!
