  1. Does anyone have a definitive answer on this. I looked at three different download spots and tried to find any "For Sure" info but it was strangely hard. It looks like its a Donationware kind of thing but I couldn't even figure out how to get in direct contact with the designer. Several have Albertino listed as the designer and when you click on the donate button it takes you to a paypal spot to donate but the comments in the donation say for "Uleash the Beast" rather than Green energy. So when you track that down it appears to be the same font and says free for personal use and still no for sure way to get with the designer. I may email the address that was listed in the donation box to see if I get a real person but I worry that it's not even the right people. I have a client that is entertaining the use in a logo and I don't want to get he or I in trouble. I am worried that the font is so close to the Monster Energy label that its all just a bootleg thing.

Green Energy Font Free for Commercial use?

I looked pretty hard but I can't get comfy with designing a company graphic with the font. It is very unclear in the permissions even in the download pack so i talked him out of it. I have used it several times on misc T-shirts but thats a whole different animal than having a truck heading down the interstate with it on there.

    Hi-Viz lime yellow reflective vinyl

Whoops missed that part, just saw the "it's not reflexite" and somehow my mind said it's not reflective. Getting old I guess. I have a color chart from Oracal and there doesn't appear to be anything in their reflective lineup that has that kind of POP. Someone might make a reflective laminate that could go over the top of the hi-vis maybe? Some of the guys on here are printers and know more about the laminates. I just learned what Frog Juice was a week ago.

Good looking logo! And possibly more important, a good nice cut and weed!

    Hi-Viz lime yellow reflective vinyl

I don't know if it is the exact same but Oracal has some specialty film called fluorescent yellow. The vinyl series number is 6510 and 7510 and the color number would be 029. They should have it here at USCutter, You will be purchasing a 10yd roll. This is NOT reflective in any way to my knowledge. The way that lowest picture is lit up makes me wonder if the stuff you have is reflective at night.

Looking to have T shirts made

Huh, I have had fantastic success with JPSS. Like 30 washings and still going strong. Don't like the dark transfers, I've tried a couple different brands and they all feel like a piece of cardboard but the Soft Stretch is hard to even tell there's anything on the shirt and the colors (pigment) outlast the shirts. ZERO cracking and as long as I trim reasonably close to the color, no noticeable ghost. I've even gotten away with open lettering with quite a bit of space in between with no issues.

Looking to have T shirts made

Do this. If you could stand white shirts you could do JPSS and have a good useable shirt. The dark transfers are stiff and uncomfortable but would work for an occasional wear item. Either option is real affordable, like...I do these things for about $4 plus the cost of the shirt and am making a about 200% profit on the transfer alone.

    US Cutter MH series

Whoops! I guess I got sucked into a time warp! I hate it when that happens! LMAO!

    US Cutter MH series

When I bought my first cutter I actually called USCutter and talked to a salesman who asked some questions about my plans. I had done a lot of reading up on the different models and ended up going for the P-Cut which was still a budget model but a few steps off the lowest rack. There were some start-up issues for me and I did more reading and learning about how to deal with them. I had the typical static issues that are prevalent with the Chinese cutters and learned how to deal with that (I used anti-static spray to fog the area before cutting anything big or HTV). My opinion on the original poster is the same as you guys. Probably someone from a competitor site messing around with his cubicle buddy. USCutter has always been there to take care of problems for me. Second observation: If this guy just got his cutter new for Christmas then it's been what...30 days. How can he already be "looking for another vinyl supplier" especially if he hasn't hardly been able to use the machine as he claims. He has obviously not done much homework on that issue either or he would know that the Oracal line is about as cost effective as you can get from USCutter and a fantastic product. I occasionally purchase a few yards locally from either of two supply houses who sell Avery/3M products and I totally prefer the 751 Oracal to 3M. Cuts and weeds better in my opinion. To the original poster, if you are legit then give USCutter a chance to rectify the problem. I think they are basically a warehouse that imports and distributes those cutters but they do a great job of keeping customers happy.

    Stumped

I checked that one. The T has a backslant to the front serif that is unique and the E has a unique little heel. This is a scan from an actual Tile that has this on it already and the owner want s me to match it. You have to look past the crooked letters because I think that is a product of the install and not the font. The other notable trait is that the top and bottom of the letters bulge outward slightly rather than being flat or indented as is more common. I may not be able to get an exact match. I am almost of the opinion that this was cut with a real crappy cutter that buggered up the font to the point it just SEEMS to be unique.

Have Signblazer need advice on software

Your signblazer program should be able to produce the numbers with ease. Just type the numbers you want and check the size and send to your cutter. For the templates you might want to take a photo from straight on and import it into the program then you should be able to trace over the top. I would also have a tape measure showing in the pic to get the size correct. I don't know much about signblazer but those who use it on the forum like it.

    Corel to SCAL

Huh. Well I have had poor success trying out corel too so I understand what you're saying. I am surprised that it is difficult to weld all that stuff together. So lets say for example you have some text that is already been converted to outlines but it's going to be too thin to cut good so you want to make it thicker and an easy way is to just add some outline and convert it to an object. when you select the original does it not select the whole original line of text? I do that then also select the new object I just made and then unite them and I'm done. I can't believe Corel is much different but like i said I had a seriously hard time trying to do anything with my 30 day free trial of X6. I just figured all the commands were labeled differently and were hiding somewhere. I play around with Inkscape on my day-job pc and am getting more used to it too but there are so many tools that aren't there and the way it displays things is so different that I just don't enjoy myself.

    Corel to SCAL

My point exactly. It's one thing if you have a black image on a nice white background but most of my work comes in from someone who took a pic with their iPhone of their company logo that is on a worn out business card or the back of a colored shirt. 9R's example was already drawn and just needed a little final touches, it seems absurd to take a vector image turn it into a raster so it can be traced back into a vector. Just sayin

My kids use my press as a flower press when I'm not using it. Go figure. Welcome from Idaho.

    Corel to SCAL

I don't work in Corel but typically you will have cleaner images if you are able to design them and import as vector rather than tracing a raster. In Illustrator I typically convert the outlines then just unite the whole thing to quickly get rid of the extra lines assuming it's just a simple object that I wanted a little fatter, like thin text. Sounds like you know your way around Corel so I would recommend fine tuning your skill set to include the few minor changes you need to produce clean vectors and you won't need to trace so much. We all trace some of the time but drawn or hand traced images are always cleaner.

    All This Talk About Etching....

Ya this is a bad place to hang out! I got hooked on the sandblasting in about 12 seconds. Very cool way to utilize the cutters abilities.

    how to cut .ai ????

True that! I hope I didn't come across as a posting snob. I have done a couple real cool projects that I can't post any pics of and I've told the recipients that I have no idea where that came from and... WOW cash just fell in my pocket?!

    I need help vectorizing this

I'd say on both sides! mr300s for still advertising the merits of a company that had clipped his wings and SignTorch for being magnanimous. I think I'm going to buy a vector pack just to show my support. Now which one.....

    how to cut .ai ????

LOL! No problem here, I'm not a forum Nazi and I have made all sorts of stuff for myself that would get me in all kinds of trouble if I tried to market it. I was mostly making sure the new guy thought about what was about to be uploaded.

    how to cut .ai ????

The real problem I see here is the logo you are working on is a trademark and we will all get in trouble if we start up and downloading protected logos. I'm sure a moderator is going to come along any minute and let y'all know. Maybe you could start over with an original graphic and we can teach you how to do what you want to learn then you can decide if you want to risk making illegal copies on your own.

    Text in a circle

I also make a circle then cut it in half then write on the top and the bottom as separate. It seems to work better. Luemans idea of a whole separate arc would accomplish the same thing. I'm not versed in Sign Blazer but I would expect you will have to convert the text to paths at some point after you have it looking like you want. Live text usually won't just cut unless SignBlazer does it differently.

Aloha & Greetings from Daytona :)

Welcome from Idaho. Funny story about Daytona. I was down in that neck of the woods in I think March of 1990 and went to see the track but they wouldn't let us in because they had a film crew in there with Tom Cruise doing Days of Thunder so Tom screwed me out of getting to see the track! I did enjoy the movie when it came out though.

searched 25 pages at dafont and all of mine - find nothing

That's cool! A few years ago (quite a few actually, about 10 years back) I went snowmobiling with a friend of mine who is in his late 60's (around Idaho that's pretty old to be boon-docking like this old guy does) anyway he says...hey I want to stop and pick up my friend Mike on the way so we swing in and grab this other old guy and I walk into his garage (he's a farmer) and there sits a tractor puller he is in the middle of building with not one but 4 blown Keith Black hemi engines all linked together in this awesome tandem dual configuration! The guy was some kinda genius and he could freakin ride too! Those old farts liked to scare the crap out of me a couple times.

    I need help vectorizing this

You do great work there SignTorch. I'm a fan of your abilites. The only vector pack I ever bought was a huge design elements collection and a group of racing flames and numbers from USCutter when I bought my first machine, other than that I have only purchased one design but I have been pretty tempted by your work and have perused your site several times . One of these days I may have to break down and pick up one of those sets from you. Welcome to the forum BTW! I have almost zero drawing ability by hand but get by ok on the computer. Sorry Tooter for hijacking the thread.
