  1. Hello. I am still learning how to use my VinylMaster Cut V4.0 & am stuck at the moment trying to figure out how to shadow an image. I know how to shadow the entire image, but I am only wanting to shadow the top portion. When I do this, it is making it the same size as the image I am shadowing. I guess what I am trying to do is to make a shadow of an image but I don't want to have any layering at all. I am doing a mountain scene in black & want the top of the mountains in a shadow in gray where the two pieces will fit together but not be layered on top of one another. I have a name as well that I am trying to do this with as well. I know I have done this on other software's, but cannot figure it out for the life of me on this new software. Does anyone have any pointers for me. I have attached a photo of what I am trying to accomplish. The middle picture is what I want it to look like with just a slight shadow but when I do it, it gives me the same image & I would have to layer them on top of one another. Same with the name at the bottom. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!!

How to split a design in half

Thank you so much!! I will go check it out.
  3. Hello, I am pretty new to using Vinyl Master so I am not sure how to handle this. My cutter is 30" but I am needing to cut an image that is 36"x36". Is there a way to cut the image in half so that I have two separate pieces that I can attach together to make one large image? Please let me know. Thank you.

    COLOR QUESTION

I am out of town & not near my color chart & need to know if the Oracle brand vinyl Nut Brown is very close in color to Persimmon?? On my computer they look pretty similar, but I never trust the color on my screen. I ordered the Persimmon by mistake when I really need Nut Brown so I am hoping they are pretty close. Can anyone help me out on this? Thanks so much!!

    LOOKING TO UPGRADE VINYL CUTTER

I currently have a Creation PCUT & I'm wanting to upgrade to a newer machine & software. Does anyone have any suggestions on what would be a good machine. I have a small business where I basically cut vinyl wall words & window decals so I do not need a top of the line machine that will cost me a fortune. If anyone has any suggestions, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!!
  8. I will give this a try. Thank you for your help.
  9. Here is a photo for you. This is actually one of the better ones. The size of this font is 1/2 inch. I haven't made any changes, so that is why I am so confused. I am so dumb when it comes to the technical part of this so I am clueless. Can you explain to me how I can adjust the blade so not as much is out??
  10. Thanks everyone for your help. I have tried all of your suggestions & unfortunately none of them worked. It seems like the smaller the font, the worse it is. I have slowed down the cutting speed & that doesn't help either. It seems to me that it is jerking a little so it is making it impossible to make a clean cut. it actually tears the letters when they are small. Stressing me out. Any other suggestions you could help me out with?
  11. My vinyl cutter has recently started to cut really sloppy. I have changed the blade thinking that I needed a new one and it is still doing it. My problem seems to be where the cut starts & then stops on each letter or object. It is not making a clean cut. When I go to weed my project, there are little kicks at this point on almost every letter. Does anyone have any suggestions for me on what I am doing wrong & how I can fix this?? Thank you!!

    Vinyl for cars

I have a customer that is wanting their business name put directly on their car door. I have done several window stickers with Oracal 651 & was needing to know if I needed to use a different type of vinyl that could go directly on their paint.
