The update in the downloaded ZIP from mystat...I know the product is no longer supported. I have had SignBlazer before with all cutters, what I am looking for/trying to get is the one with no nag screen at all in the beginning.

What cutter can I chose to use with my Refine MH-871 while using the UK Version??

Did you do the update and crack? I have no Refine...

The version I got from mystats doesnt have any popups...any way I can get the correct cutter on my version?

There are no Refine or UScutters at all.

I have tried all drivers, restarted, change machine to every one mentioned and I still dont get a USB option. This is on Lion.

Is working now with a keyspan adapter...seems odd though being that its still using USB. Oh well. Still having problems with SignCut Pro not finishing the weeding border, talk to the nice support at SignCut Pro and the only solution they could come up with was add a mounting frame which will get you 1 complete weeding frame and an incomplete frame around that one. I will say the support do not know the program very well for how expensive it is...

How do you go about getting permission? I sent an email to MAZDA USA and they replied with a number, left a message at that number about getting permission to cut vinyl and have yet to receive a call back...

Read that too...got a keyspan on the way from amazon. Hopefully this works because signcut looks like its doing a lot better cutting the small letters when I tried it on windows.

I dont know whether to get 32 or 64, I have installed both multiple times...installed signcut multiple times still nothing.

Yes I tried everything, installed drivers for both 32 and 64, signcut actually shows MH-871 and I never get a usb device. I checked system info and uscutter does show up as a usb device...

I have read where SignCut is supposed to support an "overcut" feature but I have not been able to find it, is this not in the Mac program? The problem I am having is when using SBE in bootcamp, I can not cut small letters (1/4 high) successfully. They never weed properly and it becomes a huge pain to weed them at all. I think most of the problem is the way SBE is drawing the cut. I also get all these marks where the blade initially drops and begins the cut, im guessing it is because the blade is not aligned with the direction it needs to move, is there any way to fix this? Also, im going to try to learn inkscape or illustrator so I can avoid going into bootcamp all the time.

Yeah, I tried that earlier but overcut didnt find me any Guess im just not all here today though.

Well you can use the pen and paper until you get it figured out so you dont waste any more vinyl. Try this and see how it works for you

I am having a lot of trouble getting a nice vector of this. I have tried SignBlazer and Mastercam X4 and both give me bad vectors. If someone could take it and vector it and make everything close to even like spaces between the doors and such that would be awesome!

I have not tried yet with inkscape, but I have tried tracing it in a drafting program(Mastercam) then saving as a DWF and it wont import correctly into signblazer...print screened it and tried to vector that...still nothing. I think the image is too small, every time I convert it to monochome it skips tons because 1 bit is half the corner in the picture so im guessing there arent enough pixels in the supplied image to vector it correctly? Im about to lose it on this stupid drawing.

I dont have much experience myself but are you using a keyspan or serial connection? If you have bootcamp, try it in signblazer. I have a copy of Flexi I "obtained" and I absolutely hate it, it starts making random lines after every finished cut. You have to unplug the cutter or it starts this random step bs across the whole travel of the cutter. Signblazer so far has worked flawless for me.

When cutting, the blade seems to rip up the vinyl, small details are usually detached from the backing paper before I get a chance to weed. Is this because of the poor quality greenstar paper? or is the MH-871 not capable of the small details?

I am looking to buy the MH series cutter in the 28" width, I have thought about the 34" but I havent really found any vinyl in that size so I decided to go with the 28". Few questions - Is the keyspan really necessary? I have a Macbook Pro but I can boot into Windows or I also have a Windows desktop so if it isnt required right now I would like to avoid it. Also, not sure on colors of vinyl but where is the cheapest place to get vinyl and transfer paper? And one last question, is it possible to use AutoCAD with the included software?

From reading, I guess you can set an origin on the vinyl. If I am able to set an origin using the cutting blade, could I set an origin in the cutting program on a registration mark or something printed that I can pick up with the blade in signblazer or whatever being used to essentially contour cut without using a laser?
