I just use my cutter for making signs for my families businesses and havent made one in a while. Anyways for the life of me i can't remember how to get the image vectorized. I just want a simple line drawing out of it. Trying to do this for my moms x-mas present. Thanks for any help

Thanks for the help everyone. I thought i had attached the file to the first post but i didn't acutally click attach so it didn't post. Here it is and hopefully someone can help. I think a .eps file is the best for me.

It still doesn't show up. This is driving me crazy!

Thanks for the quick response. I have done that and saved as eps file. Everything looks good but when i import the file into sign blazer nothing shows up on the workspace.

I have this image and my photoshop decided to quit working so i can't convert the image to monochrome to vectorize in my program. I was wondering if someone would help me out and vectorize this image for me please. TIA Dan.

I need to know where the ground wire that is above the usb connection goes. I believe this could be my problem of it not communicating with my computer. -

*Update* USB Not Acknowledged

I set up my cutter on my new dedicated desktop and installed signblazer and the drivers for the cutter/cable. Everything looked fine i set all the ports to what they needed to be and then i went to cut and it sent an error message. So i uninstalled the driver for the cable and reinstalled the driver and it said installed but with errors or something to that nature and it showed up as unknown device. So i tired that again and now it wont even pop up in device manager at all. I signed up for a pc support and they said that their best guess is the cutter is running 1.1 usb and the computer wont accept it. Which didn't make much sense to me but i was tired of him trying things and getting no where. **I just tried something as i was typing. I plugged my external HD in with the cable supplied and it is running that fine.** Also for some reason the cd when loaded tries to open like a pic cd would, where would you like to import these files. So there could be a driver for the cutter that i havn't gotten installed because the program wont autorun but i think i have checked the cd for installation files and it only has PLT draw, the usb driver to install. I found "casmate to pcut" with .cfg and .eng file and the read me text that shows tells what to do with them, but i cant find the folder to do that in. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Dan. -

I got the laptop back and it doesn't seem to register with it also, so i am thinking it is something internal. Should i disassemble and check for loose connections, or what is the next diagnosis step? -

I have had the machine working and it hasn't moved since i switched computers. I might just have to wait and see if it works with my laptop when it comes back from getting a new keyboard. -

I have tried 3 cables that i know work, and all 4 different usb ports. I also tried directly downloading the driver and no success. Any more ideas. If something internal happened with the cutter could this happen? I don't think this is the case, but just wondering. -
My laptop that i was using to cut with crashed last week and i have a desktop pc that i have dedicated to the cutter now. I need to know what i can do to register Sign Blazer on the second computer. I wont be using the laptop to cut with anymore, but it would be nice if i could still use SB on it so i can design/show people what i can do for them when i meet them. Let me konw what we can work out. Thanks Dan.

Thanks Ken for the email link. Also, not a bad idea to just use trial mode. I can do most basic stuff with that.

This is the main reason why i chose this pcut cutter and the sign blazer package...The WONDERFUL costumer support. Thank you guys very much for the fix and how to. I did learn something by reading other post, to turn off the plotter and runa test run to see if anything like a transparent box shows up. This was my first time vectorizing something, so now i know in the future to group things, make one uniform color, how to check for hidden items and delete them. :thanks: GUYS :you rock:

Each time i cut the attached file while it is cutting and mapping out the cutter path, it adds a square cutting off the tippy tops of the (Morton IL 2) and extends up and cuts through the sheep's face and middle of its body. I am very new at this so i'm sure it is something simple to fix that i am missing. Thanks Dan. Ewe-Nique.SBD Ewe-Nique.SBD
