Have you grounded the plotter with the stand as it says to do in the installation instructions?

It is cutting the vinyl fine, it's just not cutting it as it should. I will e-mail you directly so we can take care of this, as i've started to get sign jobs in and still can't get this to plot right.

I just tried it again, with the same word "testing". It did one side of the first "t", then resumed with "ESTING" in 3" letters.

Plotter: MH721 Connection Type: USB (the only that will work) Software: Flexi 6.5v2 Operating System: Windows 2000 After getting it to finally cut with the last choice, USB, it does so in an ackward fashion. the word "testing", was done with "tes" in a 1 inch by 1 inch square over itself, then the "ting" was 3" tall 15" down the length of vinyl. Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? Thanks!

i am also having problems getting it to print using flexi 6.5, and the LPT port on a Windows 2000 computer.

I actually have a copy of FlexiSign 6.5 that I will be using, which i have ran in XP before. I actually fixed up a P3 1.4ghz computer w/ a gig of ram, so i dont think i'll be having a problem I just won my action yesturday, waiting for the money to clear the bank then BAM! Watchout forums, because once I start posting stuff i make, i turn into a forum whore :-D

What types of computers are you using with your Plotter? I've seen as slow as a 300mhz running a plotter without a problem (besides the 5 minute startup time). Only reason I ask is because I dont want to use my office/desktop computer as the plotter computer. I have a 800mhz PIII sitting here with everything needed to run, which I will probably put Windows 2000 on and let the beast have at it.

I have, without any luck. Although it was not with a USCutter (Roland), it did not "get'r'dun". I had to re-cut the sandmask with a razor blade where the plotter had "scored" the mask. gluck.

All this talk of having problems cutting small text and the question of "what type of vinyl are you using?" hasn't come up. So, what kind of vinyl are you using (producer, mil)
