I do not use a line - I put the vinyl in and jog it forward to see which way it runs - then adjust it and try again - there is no way you can get it loaded straight the way you are loading it.  I use the same method on my graphtec and my Roland printer

there should be a line to follow is a nice plotter. maybe my roll isnt on my rollers correctly it may be off. ill check didnt notice it till it got to the longer part on the sign

  2. Does anyone know why this machine waste so much vinyl. and also it will hardly accept smaller pieces of cut vinyl it tells me to load media .. It acts ok on the small thing but when cutting long signs it gets off track EVEN WHEN i cut the vinyl straight across and set it correctly in the machine. my old pcut didnt have this much trouble when cutting a sign. it also bunches up on longer signs. I thought this was suppose to be a top of the line machine but yet it gets off track even with the sensors it has  . it is being sold as a 24 inch cutter but cant not hardly cut up to 22inch wide because it gets off track so much. someone please help im about to return this thing,

  3. hello Everyone i have solved the problem with this issue. If you go to the cutting phase of the decals, you will see that it has a option about the layout. it the right corner you have to make the panel of the work area bigger so that it wont cut into the decal. The vinyl and the sensors were in the correct position the job size was just needed to the panel layout to correct this issue

  4. Hello I'm looking for someone who is dependable and has a great reputation with printing decals as I need a person who can do this on a regular basis as I do not have a printer. if someone could help me out or lead me in the right direction I thank you very much

so is the issue the logo and additional lines cutting through it?

or the cutter perceiving the vinyl to be narrower than it is?

how large is the logo you are trying to cut?

what software are you using to cut?

the cutter is cutting the line as shown like its not fitting it its box as shown. seems like when the cutter reads vinyl its showing around 21.5 instead of the full 24. i understand you have the pressure rollers set on cutter to the blue lines but its will cut into the decal. im guessing because of the box. the whole decal is 22 long. also using the graphtec software it came with

the width it is showing is the width between where you have the pressure rollers set - set em wider it shows wider but if you want to cut over 23" then turn the sensors off and take your chances running off the vinyl - that is fine as long as you are careful

well dang that stinks what good is thus cutter if i cant cut to its full length? ill try the rollers again and see what it does.

Mark Rugen that made the training dvd that skeeter posted is the ultimate flexi trainer - and the graphtec pro studio is private branded flexi - I have both and identical

I understand nothing is free, I just couldn't remember the gentleman's name that made the DVD training. Thanks yall for helping me out on this one.  i really like his training

why would you need printer drivers?   A Graphtec vinyl cutter is NOT a printer. It is a vinyl cutter. Printers=print ink.  Vinyl cutters,=cut.. You cannot put ink in a Graphtec vinyl cutter. and print. It is for cutting vinyl or plotting with the pen tool.  .   GraphtecPro Studio has CUTTER drivers, just like it is supposed to, to run a vinyl cutter. Flexisign pro is design/ CUTTING and printing software.  It is the same that your cutting with now. Only newer.  You stated that your Flexi  was not cutting or communicating with your cutter. . The new Graphtecs come with their own CUTTING software and CUTTING drivers. . Just like Flexisignpro.  Nothing more I will add to this.  Now you can do your own homework.

oh i see i thought you meant i needed a printer driver for it to work. silly me lol

ps what graphtec do yall have? i seen different ones but i am doing research on what is best

No, It's Flexisignpro,,   With no printer drivers.  Called GraphtecPro Studio.   Coreldraw is not cutting software. It is design software.

how do i get printer drivers?  so the software comes with it but i cant cut with it?

Graphtec,  great for no problems and great detail. PLUS you get the Graphtec version of Flexisignpro as your software. Just no printer drivers.  Cutter must be the new ones being sold now.   That is $1000 plus value software. I have owned my cutter since 2008, never a problem.

    is that what coreldraw is?

i believe SB will also do .svg files as well (although I stick with the .eps type). As long as you stick with a standard type of file (ie. .eps, .svg, .ai, etc.) many cutter software will be able to pick it up (import). That way, you can use it across several different programs and it's also cross platform (PC & Mac).

im trying to import eps files.  i donthave a mac this is what i have. its a hp computer

What has Flexi support told you?  Or ask at the Flexi forum.

Wheres the forum? i thought i was on it.. ive emailed them but nothing has come about it

  14. As i was using flexi a couple days agos , i finished what i was cutting and shut it down. when i came back to it to cut some more it suddenly stopped sending to the cutter.  i have checked everything i could wires, coms etc. it seems to kick me out and production manager closes. then it wants me to choose a setup again. why is this occuring?

change the comm on your computer.

Control Panel -> Device Manager ->find comm 7, right click select properties, Port Settings, Advanced, select a different comm number. For some reason it will usually saw 1 and 2 are used even though they are not. I believe Signblazer tops out at 4, so set the device to comm 1, 2, 3, or 4 and you should be able to get it to then work in SB.

thanks got it to work so its got to be flexi doing something wrong? how do i import a eps file  ive done a little research and i dumbfounded on this

  16. when i have install signblazer and my cutters driver. i go to setup and the printer says its on com 7 but there isnt one in signblazer what do it do
