hey in new here im got a vinyl master xy-380p which is a dessay xy-380p cutter the guy just gave it to me because he was going out of business he had about 4 cutters im trying to figure out how to work this cutter i got a new hp laptop with windows 7 and everything is install sign blazer and flexi 8.1. im really tired of being "bsed" around by the fellow cutters in my area and the guy who gave it to me he said if it works give me 100.00 for it but he said not to pay until im statified with it so ? i have this cutter done been through a bunch of stuff it with not coperate with my hp but i had a guy give me a desktop using this desktop and the cutter which application do i click on to get the software on this desktop i really would like to use my laptop to do vinyl but for some reason its not working i need to get flexi 8.1 on the desktop and the cutter added to the printer port it has a 25 pin plug so does my desktop willl it work or is it better to say the heck with this cutter and go brand new so i can use my labtop? looking at this one but idk which it is on uscutter.com i have signblazer and flexi8.1 already installed on the laptop im really ready to start cutting cause people here want graphics please help http://cgi.ebay.com/280666043103?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp4712.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D280666043103%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1

i am new at this so please help i have a vinyl master cutter and i am using flexi 8.1 software using a keyspan usb to rs232 converter it sets up fine but the problem im having is sending things to the cutter from my computer all i have is usb ports so as to what do i send it to which port it needs to go to all i have is usb ports and the ports you can send to are com1: com2: com3: com4: lpt1: lpt2: lpt3: tcp/ip file: SHRFAX and xpsport please help

i click on you tech thing then my internet stops working . ive tryd 3 different networks

then it says write port error ??

ok i went to the device manager and its com 3 then i hit send and it says cutting but the cutter isnt cutting

i am going to try thr device manager later today if that doesnt work then ill see what else i can do thanks will get back to you

which port is it on the computer i have a hp labtop and it has usb ports thats all

it doesnt say how to do it in the program it just shows you on paper i dont get it like that

hey im am new to graphics cutter etc i have a master vinyl cutter model xy-380p i really need to get this cutter ready for business and i need a parallel to usb cord to hook to my laptop it is 25 pin plug it also has another plug in and it has rs-232c under it what is this plug for can it be used the same way as the parrallel one if so i need the cord to go from that to the usb port please help me in this sitiation thanks

and if i cant get this machine in working order what is a good machine to start with on uscutter.com need at least a 34"

the only cable that came with the cutter is a parrellel cable being it is a 2004 model
